Maybe they offered the Sky money as security.........now that would be funny:D Before this is jumped on as serious.....it's not:smt047

'The total amount that we directed the Premier League to discharge and pay these clubs is approximately £5m. So there is a net balance due to the club approaching £2m. We cannot see how they can keep the money and also continue with the embargo. :smt081:smt081:smt081 They can't even get their story right between them:D:D

This is my take on things. They are firefighting, it's all smoke and mirrors!!. There are enough clues, in all the links, to make an informed opinion on the why's of all this. Supermarket sweep anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or Housey housey maybe;)

You do now!!!. The Dutch and Germans done it with a great degree of sucess, The Isralies still do. I know, that's why I said done it, and still do

You do now!!!. The Dutch and Germans done it with a great degree of sucess, The Isralies still do. I'd take it one step further, you give two years to your country, either the forces, or a community project.

Idiotic post of the decade.........you SIR!!! clearly have no idea, so stick with talking sh1t about other things, that again, you have no idea about. It seems to be your thing!!.
-
Um!!!!!!!!!! Liverpool!!!!!
-
Why!!!.......were you there DD, no, and neither was I, but I gather that for a couple of 'world class' saves, we would have been beaten, so pray explain how and why we should of won....at times you sound very 'Scottish', not from Glasgow perchance??
-
Almost...there are a few who shout the team down even when we win, and they know who they are!!!!
-
As usual, an over reaction by most on here. We are not repeat not a PL team, we do not have a god given right to win every game!!. I used to think that Spurs fans were fickle, but I fear we as a collective, have overtaken them by miles. IMO, I would of taken a draw at the start of today, and a draw is what we achieved. This was a good result, the performance may not of been to everyone's taste, but we are in L1, a point that some miss.

Perhaps they watered it overnight, in the hope it would be called of. Then they would have their Africans back for the re-arranged fixture!!! Just a thought!!
-
Lol.....and you're baseing this on rumours on a message board. Too many on here become experts on heresay, wait for facts, there could be a very simple explaination, and I'm sure the truth of this will come out.
-
..and indeed, a better one than the rest of the PL managers on here!!!!
-
Yes...IYHO. Who, apart from all the budding managers on this forum, has said he is only a squad player. You can view this both ways, they are all squad players, or they are all first team players. It's only a rumour, and he's being slated already. IF it's true, then the only manager at Southampton, who's opinion counts, is AP, and in AP we trust.
-
I think you're wrong.. If they do as you say, and stay up, then it will be at the expense of another club.....and that club may of played by the rules, and will surely look to sue the PL. I think they will want rid of the cheats and liars from down the road...as soon as possible.

Oh goodie....someone else for our fans to slag off:(..don't sign mate, it's not worth it!!!

'cause they'll be out of the FA cup!!

IMHO, it will be to tell us what we alrady know, that the TV money has been retained by the PL.
-
They can't all be secured against £7 mil, some are against future TV Money, and season ticket sales, some against Farten Park......methinks this train crash is at last, coming off the rails.
-
No!!..........but there might be soon:smt023

Portsmouth hope to have their transfer embargo lifted today when they meet with Premier League officials. Pompey will be represented by Ahmed Al-Faraj, brother of owner Ali Al-Faraj, lawyer Maurice Watkins, who regularly acts for Manchester United, and advisor Yoram Yossifoff. The trio are seeing Premier League chairman Dave Richards and chief executive Richard Scudamore to argue there is no reason why the ban should go on any longer. A total of £7million is due to the club today as part of the TV agreement. And Pompey claim once their debts are paid, there will still be a surplus of between £2m and £3m. Ahmed Al-Faraj told The Sun: "This ban must be lifted now. There is no argument for it to go on. "With the TV money coming in we will have paid all our debts to other clubs and it is vital that Portsmouth are allowed to compete on a level playing field with everyone else. "We need new players in and if we can get the ones our manager wants, we are confident we will stay in the Premier League. "A lot of money is being put into this club to turn things around. "We are probably one of the only clubs in the world which doesn't owe a penny to any bank." You have got to laugh haven't you........they owe millions to 'Property development company's'....but nothing to banks. That my deluded blue fool, is because the banks have ditched you!!!
