Clean for 3 years now. Getting past the pysical urge to smoke, is fairly easy, but the mental urge, less so. I still have the occasional wish for a smoke, but that is where the will power kicks in. Anyway, how I done it. I used the patches, but also lit up! I took a couple of drags, then dogged it. next time I felt the urge to smoke, I put this dead Cigarette into my mouth had a few disgusting drags....yuk! I cut down to 3-4 cigarettes a day, and within a couple of weeks, had kicked it, patches and all.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/mps-will-call-on-government-body-to-boost-trust-bid-for-pompey-1-3701690?commentssort=1&commentspage=3 By Rory McKeown Published on Thursday 5 April 2012 07:13 PORTSMOUTH MPs are to make a new approach to Sport England over funding to save Pompey. Penny Mordaunt, Mike Hancock and Caroline Dinenage will send a letter to the government body seeking either a loan or a grant to boost the Pompey Supporters’ Trust’s takeover bid. The decision was made at a meeting held by The News last night, just days after the trust launched its community share scheme. The initiative invites fans to register their interest in a future share offer to buy the club by pledging an initial deposit of £100 before acquiring a share for £1,000. MP for Portsmouth South Mr Hancock said MPs had previously sought financial help from Sport England to ease the club’s plight but are willing to return to support the trust’s bid. He said at the meeting: ‘We are asking for a bridging loan or a grant. I’m not sure Sport England is in a position to give a grant for a business but a community trust might be something it considers.’ Ms Mordaunt, MP for Portsmouth North, said she will contact the cabinet office to gauge support using a ‘big society’ approach. Portsmouth City Council leader Gerald Vernon-Jackson said: ‘If this is going to be the way which football has to evolve then it has to start somewhere and Sport England should be looking at using this as a good example but it will be down to ministerial direction.’ The letter will ask Sport England to meet the MPs on April 16. The supporters’ trust was represented by Mick Williams, Mark Trapani and Dan Fearnley. With politicians, they discussed idea of bidding for a slice of the £12m Growing Places fund through the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership to help their cause. It’s used to fund the creation of new jobs and homes in the region, and is awarded on a loans basis, which is held accountable for by a public sector organisation. Mr Williams added administrator Trevor Birch believes the club’s money runs out between the middle and the end of May. He said interest in the takeover scheme had been encouraging, and stressed fans would only lose out on £2.50 – due to a 2.5 per cent handling fee – if the scheme fails. Trust spokesman Scott Mclachlan earlier confirmed hundreds of people had pledged their support for the scheme so far. Dear oh dear oh dear!!!!!

No..........they are still cheats, you can't airbrush the last 13 years out.

Comment From Toyman Steve I think TB deserves a lot of credit, I think his actions with ticket prices and getting rid of high earners have stopped us from being toast.
-
As per Leeds..........
-
Comment From PFC123 It dosent sit well with me that we have shafted CVA creditors once, and will do it twice now... avoiding points deductions sets a precedent to all other clubs to ditch their debt and copy us. £130 - £0 in 2 years with no punishment :lol:
-
My error
-
Comment From Mike Hall Every one get involved with the Pompey Supporters Trust. You can take out a credit deal/loan to pay for your share. Interest only 9.4%! Love it
-
Comment From Phil OMac I hear Maquire will be with us for the rest of the season. He looks a great prospect with two feet. Any chance we could sign him in the summer? A Man City hot prospect, lol, of course you can!
-
Steve, just my thoughts on this, I suspect they will be punished, if the FL can't hit them with a further point deduction, I think they will ask them to drop down two leagues, or face having their golden share withheld. I can dream, can't I !!
-
Comment From Salford Jonny Neil, do you reckon we might have to settle for the playoffs this season? Big lol
-
Comment From Rusty I can see the trust coming up with a deal whereby Chanrai owns the ground and the club rent it over a long period if the £8m isn't reached... there are options for the total figure is not realised! Yeh! and be responsible for all the improvements required!! that's a goer!
-
Until I see it confirmed by the FL themselves, I will still believe in their integrity!
-
12:49 Comment From Rusty I saw your comment on CVA1 that is now dead. It seems strange that trhe club will not get any more points deducted as if a club does not agree one it's a points penalty. Has that been confirmed by the Football League? 12:50 Neil: Trevor Birch has confirmed there will be no more points deductions. This has been reached following talks with the Football League.
-
12:35 Comment From Bubbleboy Do you know if the club are paying taxes yet? 12:35 Neil: Since the administration began the administrators have ensured all subsequent tax bills are kept up to date with. That is part of their remit.

More ticket reductions!!! Pompey reveal ticket reductions Pompey fans can benefit from further ticket reductions at Fratton Park Pompey fans can benefit from further ticket reductions at Fratton Park By Neil Allen Published on Tuesday 3 April 2012 15:17 Pompey have announced further ticket reductions for their remaining Fratton Park midweek matches. Adult seats in the north stand have been slashed to £15. In addition, tickets are now priced at £10 for seniors and young persons (17-22) and £1 for juniors (under 16). These reductions apply for the home fixtures with Millwall (April 10) and Crystal Palace (April 17). Both matches kick-off at 7.45pm, and are two of three games left at Fratton Park this season. Tickets in the south stand and Fratton end have already been reduced to £20 for adults, £15 for seniors/young persons and £8 for juniors. There are also other offers still in place for supporters for the remainder of the season. The ‘Four for £44’ (two adults, two juniors) and ‘Two for £25’ (one adult, one junior) offers are still running in all areas, except the family enclosure and Milton end. Meanwhile, Pompey are holding a season-ticket amnesty for the same two midweek games. Fans usually have to pay to upgrade their seat if they want to use a junior, senior or young person season ticket for a match. But this cost has been waived for the Millwall and Palace matches.
