I obviously didn't know how good it was going to be before the game but now we know it was a stroke of genius I'm wondering why it wasn't tried before now...
-
Ah, gotcha. And there was me thinking putting the opposition defence under pressure and roughing them up a bit might have worked on other teams too. Silly old me....
-
Any reason why he didn't work this out several games ago....?

This has got 4-4 written all over it

Yay! Loving the new tactics and formation! 😁😁😁
-
So the goal we scored was everything to do with our change in formation and tactics and the goal we conceded wasn't. Gotcha... 😂

Indeed... If only Russ had had this stroke of genius 3 games ago we'd now be within a chance of auto promotion.... Haha... That aged well! 1-1

Aribo doesn't get the ball either.... Free kick... Nice consistency ref...

Yep, didn't touch the ball.

Can anyone explain the thinking behind this? I'm baffled.

There's a free hit punchline there but I think I'll let someone else take the honours 😁

Leaves me somewhat confused (easily done admittedly!) ... If the argument for playing a full strength team is to build up some momentum ahead of the playoffs then why play a new formation that we're unlikely to play in the playoffs....? How is that going to build momentum and cohesion? All seems a bit disjointed and mixed-messaging to me...
-
A bit head-scratchy that it seems Russ is trying out a brand new formation in the last game of the season....?

Fair point. Pros and cons (and risks) either way though.

Madness picking Downes IMO but hey ho....
