No Saints youth in England U18s training squad in January...
trousers replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Surprisingly few premier league clubs represented? And one chap from the Pompey team that got thrashed 7-0 the other night.... Funny old game... -

My thoughts too. This sort of thing is usually all over the media before the FA get around to issuing a charge

There an obsessive yet highly amusing thread on Southampton Football Club's premier fan forum covering the various takeovers at Portsmouth Football Club since 2009. To the nearest 10,000 how many posts does it have?

110 wasn't it? Although given Pompey's shrinking number expertise I see what you did there...

BBC: Nicola Cortese at heart of Southampton's success story
trousers replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Wasn't it also Ben Smith that broke the "Cortese to leave if Katrina Liebherr doesn't let him continue to run things his way" story at the end of last season? I think you're right, this does have a whiff of a "gentle reminder" to the Liebherrs about it. Maybe there was an agreement with Katrina to review things "around Christmas" and this is Cortese's way of highlighting to her how good things are at the moment... -

Looks like a bit of a re-hash of this article to me: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2515877/Southampton-masterplan-win-Premier-League.html but still a good read none the less. -
So, as 2013 draws to a close, is everyone ready for a new game of 'Spot the Pompey Player' calendar game? A reminder of this year's challenge.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2258986/Portsmouth-2013-calendar-features-players-sold.html (that was the status at the beginning of the year....did any of the remaining 3 survive?!) So, onto 2014 then....

Anyone taken their kids out of term time since the new law?

Maybe they wouldn't be called "holidays" in that scenario... -

And therein lies the reason why these "lowest common denominator" rules exist.... -

If only parents had the ability to teach their kids how to count and spell stuff... -
Back in my day, we used to get detention or the cane if we misbehaved in class....we never got anything quite as bad as this punishment though... Donald Vass @donaldvass Thanks to @engagePompey & @PompeyITC for making my #Pompey poster a reality. Taking 45 kids I teach to today's game! pic.twitter.com/fcGLXDCVsX

Carlsberg don't do self-parodies, but if they did.... Micah Hall @engagePompey Understand natural disappointment at today's result. Now is the time for us to show again with our backs to the wall we are different class. mathew thorn @p9mpymatt @engagePompey don't think players are actually good enough #Pompey #ptid Micah Hall @engagePompey @p9mpymatt had two shots cleared off the line today and hit the post - small margins make a big difference. mathew thorn @p9mpymatt @engagePompey they are intimidated,it's a cup final for everyone else Micah Hall @engagePompey @p9mpymatt be interesting to see a league 2 table after 60 minutes, bet we would be near top, which shows we ARE good enough.
