Q1. What are your opinions on Southampton's season so far - has it gone how you expected? I predicted we'd finish 8th...so looks like I'm going to be slightly disappointed! Q2. The timing appeared strange to the outside world but my view is that Adkins knew Cortese had brought him in to 'do a job' (promotion to the premier league) and that his days were numbered. Straight after our promotion winning game vs Coventry he somewhat oddly talked about a "future parting of ways" rather than revelling in the victory. Our chairman runs the club in a non sentimental business manner and having someone (Pochettino) lined up to take over was not a surprise in many ways. Pochettino's appointment seems to have taken us up a level in terms of competitiveness and next season promises exciting times at little old Southampton... Q4.
