The reason I keep banging on about a "30th April" deadline (rather than the actual 'end of season' deadline of 27th April) is because one of my colleagues was told by the secretary of a league 2 club that they had received a letter from the FL (sent to all FL clubs) whereby they explicitly stated the 30th April as the date that Pompey had to get out of admin by to avoid losing the golden share. Maybe he misheard what the secretary told him or the secretary misread what he was sent (or, indeed, I'm misinterpreting what it might mean) At the end of the day it'll hopefully be immaterial if/when they get relegated under their own steam

I still think they have a 3 day 'window of opportunity' whereby they could finish above the relegation zone (on 27th April) and then exit administration before the FL deadline of 30th April. In that scenario the -10 would be carried over to next season (whilst still in league 1) would it not?

I've no knowledge of the circumstance under which this individual entered the country so genuine question born out of ignorance alert... Did we consciously wave him into the country in the knowledge he was an active "burglar" or did he somehow slip through the net due to incompetency somewhere in the customs system and/or inadequate immigration laws? Just trying to ascertain whether the householder in your analogy was naive or incompetent. Or possibly both... Cheers

I was told by a colleague a couple of months ago that a letter was sent to all football league clubs to explain the position and in that letter the deadline date of 30th April (for coming out of Admin and retaining the golden share) was mentioned. My colleague was told this by the secretary of a League 2 club. What date is the last day of the season (before playoffs) - I think it might be 27th April? In which case they could conceivable escape relegation on 27th and come out of administration on 28th or 29th and then have the -10 carried over to next season in League 1. Maybe...
