Trouble is, the stock answer to that is along the lines of: "That was when Pompey were run by dubious people and there was nothing we could do about it. That's why we need to put all our efforts behind the Trust to ensure it doesn't happen again"....blah....blah.....blah Of course, they're happy to airbrush the historic financial misdemeanors but not quite so happy to airbrush the footballing history that went hand in hand with it...
