@NabilHassan79: Something that may have got lost in yesterday's #pompey news is that the PST have increased their offer to Chainrai for Fratton Park to £3m.
-
I was told by someone yesterday (who knows the press secretary of a league 2 club) that all clubs were emailed by the FL yesterday to be advised that the cut off date is April 30th...

I can see some logic in Cortese voting against these measure as it probably forces other clubs to spend more on their infrastructure and academies...which might start to erode any advantage that Cortese was trying to carve out by us going down this route voluntarily.

@GraemeBailey: Premier League FFP only just voted in. Reading abstained. Reported that Fulham, WBA, Man City, Villa, Swansea and Southampton voted against

They're missing the point (surprise, surprise).....ANY twist or turn is a good thing from a nutjob perspective....doesn't matter what the actual nature of the twist or turn is....we'll celebrate each on its own isolated comic value merit.... hence: Harris in = chortle....Harris out = chortle. One of these days they'll "get it"....

Wasn't that the case the last time they got a parachute payment (August)?

Valentine's Day....?

This. Totally.

Is this the first time the Football League have clearly stated that Pompey need to come out of admin BEFORE the end of the season? I thought the prevailing understanding was that they couldn't enter NEXT season whilst still in administration - in other words, that they had the whole of the close season to get themselves out of admin. Can't recall the FL being this specific about the end of the season being the cut off before now...
-
The Football League have just thrown Birch and PKF a 'get out of jail free card'.....Birch can now liquidate (if/when circumstances get that far) with impunity....."Blame the Football League that Pompey went bust, not us - we did our best - we even found another buyer...."
-
You were saying sir....?

"Therefore, The League has informed the Administrator that it will not currently consider transferring the Club's share in The Football League to a new bidder. This means that in the event that the PST bid does not succeed and Portsmouth do not exit administration before the end of the current playing season, the Club will lose its membership of The Football League."

Mr Allen and Mr Farmery would always skirt around the "What's stopping another bid usurping the Trust at the 11th hour?" question that was posed on the web chats... As we said at the time, the lack of an answer told us all we needed to know...
-
Given its against the law (isn't it?) for an administrator to run a loss making operation, isn't it a fait accompli that they have to pay the money, whether its up front or retrospectively? Or, looking at it another way, under what circumstance would PKF not be required to call in these underwritten funds?

Yep, according to reports I've seen today

@david_conn: Article on Keith Harris' new bid for Portsmouth up soon. Looks bad for Pompey Supporters Trust and fan ownership, but needs league approval. @david_conn: Main #pompey issue: Keith Harris has agreed a deal with Chainrai, so administrators can't go to court arguing trust's is the only bid. You don't say David.... #SWFrocketscience

Apart from that....?
