  1. Man management Appy style... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-skipper-told-to-change-his-ways-1-4411806
  2. @MarkJLittlewood: @BileysMullet @bbcquestiontime nice pic. I shall do my best to ask for an end to cheating, tax avoiding football clubs. @BileysMullet: @MarkJLittlewood as opposed to mortgage avoiding clubs such as your own. Any more off shore loans for your club this month :-) @MarkJLittlewood: @BileysMullet sure hope so. Loans are fine. Writing off £150m at the cost of local charities and biz is just horrific. Disgusting stuff.
  3. I see the Pompey intelligentsia are out in force tonight... @pn_neil_allen: Essential viewing on BBC Question Time tonight. Obsessive expert on all things #Pompey and occasional Southampton fan @markjlittlewood on. @SOSPompey: Who's this tosser Mark Littlewood? @pn_neil_allen: @SOSPompey Well he's always got a wildly-inaccurate opinion on Pompey and none on his own football team. @SOSPompey: @pn_neil_allen why is he on Question Time? @jayr1972: @SOSPompey @pn_neil_allen tonights topic is tedious scummer ****s
  4. Nope. My mind is always open to either side being correct :-)
  5. Indeed. Believe the journo out to make a make for themselves and a story out of nothing every time I say...

  7. Yes, I saw those too. As I say, it depends whose account you believe. The train operator doesn't paint the same picture (cue conspiracy theory about Virgin not wanting to rock the boat after government u-turn on franchise...)
  8. He tried to get away with paying for an upgrade? That's a different version to the one I've read. Would be interested to know what your source is on that one. From that Telegraph article (above): Hardly sounds like fare evasion to me. Depends who one choses to believe I guess.... Btw, Osborne is far from my favourite MP but he sets himself up as a bit of an easy target granted.
  9. I don't think Osborne has too much to worry about if the best the media can come up with is a few cheap jibes about train fares. Yes, I know they're trying to use it as a 'bigger picture' example but I believe the British public are clever enough to work out why people in senior positions are better off travelling away from the "plebs" (chortle) Talking of not making any political point scoring out of this... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/9623075/The-gravy-train-185-MPs-travel-first-class-and-24-claim-for-club-class-flights.html
  10. Apologies Ally - I've obviously got far too much time on my hands!
  11. Damnation.....you found me out....optimist....guilty as charged m'lud
  12. Will the real Ally Biggs please step forwards....
  13. Indeed. The UK goes 0.1% into recession and the doom mongers are gleefully over it like a rash, yet go 1% into growth (albeit partially down to the Olympics) and the same doom mongers talk it down as being insignificant. I've some cake here if anyone would like to have it? You can eat it too.
  14. Concentrate on expanding the 80% portion of the growth figures that wasn't attributed to the Olympics? Just a hunch
  15. Longest in terms of body part length or time?
  16. Switched off yesterday......RIP
  17. Robert Peston ‏@Peston I suspect Treasury would have liked GDP figure to have been less strong. Risk of return to stagnation after big one-offs drop out.
  18. Aye. You wanna see how confused I get when the clocks go back this weekend

  20. And just when you thought Appy couldn't top the current levels of incredularity....along comes another gem... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/appleton-mulling-over-loan-exits-1-4405343
