  1. That quote is worth repeating verbatim due to it's high facepalm value... As PES says so eloquently....
  2. Great
  3. @SkyNewsBreak: Debenhams announces pre-tax profit for the last year of £158.3m - up 4.2%
  4. Cheers I'm still left wondering what kind of 'unplanned' meeting a premier league manager gets invited to when, one assumes, his diary is well managed by his PA.... I've been involved in arranging corporate events myself and the contracts on this kinda thing are usually watertight in terms of 'what you ask for is what you get'. If the 'star attraction' doesn't turn up due to a simple diary cock up then, as organiser, I'd be mighty annoyed at best and reaching for my compensation calculator at worst.
  5. ...
  6. Completely missing someone pretending to miss the sarcasm in someone's post. Priceless.
  7. Given my whole life revolves around this forum and I have an evening to plan, have you got a rough idea on the time Mrs Tractor is due back to update us on Adkinsgate? Cheers :-)
  8. I must admit, I have been wondering (in my conspiratorial fashion) whether Cortese and Adkins have been hatching plans for a 'convenient' exit strategy. It would look a whole lot better all round if Nigel was 'poached' by another club rather than 'sacked'. A win win for both Cortese and Adkins IF its been decided that a change is to be made.
  9. I would happily be a 'house husband'. Going out to work is very much over-rated IMHO
  10. Apologies if already posted (couldn't see it anywhere) http://sfcplayerstats.wordpress.com/2012/10/23/why-arent-we-picking-up-points/
  11. I always wondered what the outcome of Birch's "emergency appeal" to all CVA1 creditors was. It was publicised in a blaze of glory at the time ( that they needed as many CVA1 creditors to get on touch as soon as possible) but we never heard how successful the appeal was. One would guess it was unsuccessful as I'm sure we'd have heard a fanfare by now if ***** had miraculously got enough CVA1 creditors to write off their original 20% Accepting the -10 penalty is one tangible thing the trust can do to demonstrate they do indeed have the moral high ground over previous owners...I'm not holding my breath...
  12. It's not suddenly become a burden....politicians of all colours have ducked dealing with the looming 'pension gap' over the last 50 years. Everyone could see the timebomb coming but no-one did anything about it.
  13. As published in the Sunday papers I assume?
  14. Sounds interesting. What's the invite criteria to one of these events?

  16. If there's enough money in the kitty to pay pensioners living longer then this Lord Melchet fella is talking out of his hat....
  17. The Football League made it clear (eventually) that "failing to honour a CVA" attracts the same penalty as "not agreeing a CVA in the first place". I can't see why the Football League would want to U-Turn on something that is quite clearly a logical stance.
  18. Pubic Revelations?
  19. I couldn't work out f he was describing pleasure or pain though
  20. Call me old fashioned but IF Redknapp got the gig I would see how it panned out before making any judgements. I do have ambitions to express knee jerk emotive opinions mind you. Just never been very good at it.
  21. @blueballoo2000: #pompey our fans are amazing - listen to that noise!
  22. Fret ye not....The massivest club have equalised... @solentsport: GOAL! Stevenage 1 - 1 #Pompey (Harley)
  23. @officialpompey: GOAL Stevenage 1 (Morais 14) #Pompey 0
