  1. @solentsport: PKF confirm new bidder for #pompey. Keith Harris joined by Pascal Najadi - deputy chairman of AIAK Bank - and investor Alan Hitchins @NabilHassan79: BREAKING PKF: "As officers of the Court, the administrators are charged with securing the best return for all creditors." #pompey @NabilHassan79: PKF: "We need to discuss the terms of the deal with the PFA and Football League, and plan to consult the Creditors' Committee urgently." @PKF_UK: PKF confirms another offer has been made for Portsmouth Football Club - http://t.co/O1RGEYDy
  2. I think their false optimism is starting to rub off on you...
  3. Reading looking to expand to 38,000... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21365929
  4. @mickwill: PST bid offers guaranteed payment to creditors, £3M to Portpin for ground, best future for PFC & the community. We're ready to go!! #Pompey. Haven't they been "ready to go" for months now...?
  5. Yes, if "the fans" decided to start up a new club it would have the effect of giving Chainrai what he wants....but....surely both sides getting what they ultimately want (the fans get to support a Portsmouth football club that is free from the shackles of Chainrai and Chainrai gets his money back) is better than yet another botched compromise? Ok, I know "the fans" want their cake and to eat it (a shackle free club AND based at FP with preserved league status) but surely they've now got to see what we've known all along - that the ONLY way they can truly break free is to start up again from scratch...?
  6. Surely, the most sensible option for the Trust and Pompey fans now is to say to Chainrai & co....."ok, Fratton Park is all yours...but you won't have a football club to play there as we're taking the heart and soul of the club with us and creating a phoenix club in the lower leagues..... enjoy the empty stadium....bye" No?
  7. @NabilHassan79: Updated @BBCSport story on Keith Harris' #pompey takeover bid, including full reaction from the PST to the news: http://t.co/sFibivdO
  8. So....Phil was right all along...?
  9. @solentsport: A source close to deal has confirmed to us that football financier Keith Harris is involved in a bid to buy #pompey- more at 0720 in morning
  10. Fair cop. Same question then, but swap "infer" with "imply"...
  11. Does anyone know why it's taken so long for the Benali vs Cortese case to reach court? If its as clear cut a dispute as MLT infers then surely it would have been done and dusted by now?
  12. You can also have the honours in revealing that the Pope is a catholic if you like...
  13. Good to see that Cortese has clarified what he meant by "not met" in his recent Sky interview.... "Mr Cortese wishes to reiterate that he will not make comment about somebody he does not know personally - and that includes Mr Le Tissier."

  15. http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=515:pst-bid-gets-high-profile-parliamentary-backing&catid=34:demo-category @solentsport: John Whittingdale MP, chair- Dept Culture Media & Sport sel. comm, 'We are all keeping fingers crossed for PST bid being successful. And so the predicted 'bleeding hearts' campaign continues by members of parliament that care more about preserving the league status of a football club than they do about £150m worth of creditors...

  17. In the words of William L Rowe... "An agnostic is someone who neither believes nor disbelieves in the existence of a deity or deities, whereas a theist and an atheist believe and disbelieve, respectively. In the strict sense, however, agnosticism is the view that humanity does not currently possess the requisite knowledge and/or reason to provide sufficient rational grounds to justify the belief that deities either do or do not exist. In so far as one holds that our beliefs are rational only if they are sufficiently supported by human reason, the person who accepts the philosophical position of agnosticism will hold that neither the belief that God exists nor the belief that God does not exist is rational."
  18. They should get to Southampton Central after our game has started... (I'm assuming theirs is a 3pm kick off?)
  19. Atheism is a belief system too. I urge all open minded people to join us agnostics.
  20. Ditto BBC website

    Redknapp

Coincidently this match falls on the same date as national "wave a brown envelope in the air" day....just saying...
  22. You'll probably stand more chance of changing the law by lobbying parliament than raising it here. (Not that I wish to undermine the almighty influence of the SWF)
  23. @officialpompey: Full time: S****horpe 2 #Pompey 1
  24. Meanwhile, in the other JPT area final... @BroadcastMoose: Coventry 0-3 Crewe (Leich-Smith) - Coventry player Christie booked for having a kick at a streaker
