Redknapp will reportedly be paid £3,000,000 in compensation by Spurs, which after tax will equate to c.£3,000,000

Harry Redknapp handed in his letter of resignation last week. It's taken the Spurs board this long to work out what it said

It's Prestel every time for me

Didn't someone on here say a while back that they were going to lock themselves away for a few months in a brave attempt to chronicle this thread? Are the still alive? #worried

Great read - cheers

What a bunch of clowns. I trust that, after you've received the FULL excess refund, you'll be sending them an invoice for your time and expenses accumulated as a result of having to correct their errors and incompetence?

@pn_neil_allen: Birch rules out any #Pompey arrivals until at least two players leave. http://t.co/vuri49rQ

It's only a masterstroke if the intellectual might of the Football League fall for it....oh..

Yeah, but a labour government would have spent the extra £500k because it was there to be spent whereas the natural inclination of the Tories is to save it... ;-)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18421211 London Olympics 'to come in £500m under budget' The Olympic stadium will host the opening ceremony next month Sports minister Hugh Robertson says the London Olympics are set to come in under its £9.3bn budget with about £500m of the contingency funding left. He told the BBC the exact figure would be announced to Parliament later. But Mr Robertson said that "all being well we should be able to hand half a billion pounds back to the Treasury".

That's a tad harsh on Turkish to be fair

It wouldn't surprise me if Adkins fields a starting line up on day 1 that closely resembles our Championship line-up. IIRC, our starting line-up at the beginning of last season was c.90% of the team that competed in League One. I think he'll want to show people that the club were building the core of a team that could compete in the premier league 2 - 3 years ago. I would therefore expect Sharp to start with Rodriguez on the bench (for example). I'll probably be labelled a buffoon by the forum thought police for having the temerity to suggest such a foolhardy hypothesis but we'll see....

Nice video, but in what year did they banish man marking and tackling in South American football? Must have missed that announcement....

Did it at Winchester about 15 years ago. Concur with all the posts thus far. It's a good experience but unless you get a major case it's mainly sitting around waiting to be called up for a 1 or 2 day case.

When I visited Australia in the 80s it was against the law to warn fellow drivers about upcoming speed traps and they were very hot at catching people who did. They seemed to accept it as par for the course out there. I guess, some 30 years later, we're simply catching up with the times. Of course, if no one broke the law there wouldn't be any need to flash people in the first place....

So, not even a whiff of anyone connected to Pompey thinking that it might be an idea to dish out the £30k to the most needy small creditors from either CVA1 or CVA2? Rotten to the core.
