Just bought my tickets for Saints v Coventry (last game of the season). Didn't realise these were on sale already until I phoned up the Ticket Office about another matter earlier. (although only on sale to those who went to the Ipswich or Barnsley home games at the moment) Here's hoping we're promoted by then!

I've just phoned the ticket office and they confirmed that they are (and I quote): "not allowed to send out tickets for this game - they are collection only, including on the day of the game". And that you also need proof of ID. They recommended getting there by 11:30 at the latest if picking up on the day in order to avoid big queues.

I think the original wording on the OS gave fans priority rather than exclusivity. Could be recalling it incorrectly though

I tend to agree with you. Which makes it somewhat strange that Labour, right up to the end, thought they had the seat in the bag by some margin. Either their electoral intelligence is very poor or they were woefully deluded and/or complacent.

Anyway, something else we need to establish before sharing my wisdom....how would the thread title and OP have been worded if it we were waking up this morning to the Tories suffering a c.36% swing in a by-election in opposition for a seat they had safely held since 1974 following one of the worst PR weeks for the party in government...? :-) This is first and foremost a disastrous result for Labour regardless of the veneer or spin people which to put on it.

Before I offer my view, am I allowed to mention the Labour Party?
