No shame in saying that...indeed, some of us were warning of the 'cup effect' before the Blackpool game...

I find using Tapatalk is quite useful in that it displays the latest 'hot topics' (on my default view) but that often means losing sight of any threads that aren't "top 10" at any moment in time. Modern technology....pah!

The positive for me is that we're in a mini blip but still in a strong position. We've had these blips before and then gone onto another strong run. Sometimes you have to take one step back to take several steps forward (as they say in cliche land)

....we had just reached 4th place, 5 points off the top and a game in hand to take us into 2nd...on the back of 6 straight wins...? Bearing in mind it's still January. I would venture we'd be on cloud nine right now...

No change - we're still 2nd if we win our game in hand and 5 points off top. If we'd reached the position we are in now (in January) after a good run of games we'd all be delighted. But it's come on the back of a couple of bad results ergo it's all doom and gloom. You gotta love the human psyche.

I've said this before today: we should play a reserves side. And send the 1st team away for a training break somewhere warm and sunny
