  1. Good call IMO....whilst at the same time shifting the family enclosure around to one half of the Itchen (nearest Chapel).
  2. Ah, ok....yep, just read up on it on FF's thread.....keep up Trousers!
  3. So, no one asked the obvious question? i.e. "Nicola, why did Markus chose to buy SFC when there were/are plenty of other opportunities out there? How did Markus come to hear that a lower league English club was for sale in the circles he keeps?" Or perhaps I'm the only one who's curious as to how a (relatively) obscure Swiss businessman with no previous interest in football becomes interested in buying a (relatively) obscure English football club?
  4. But MLT is on record as saying that he would have alligned himself to whichever bid the administrator preferred, hasn't he? Chicken and egg?
  5. My understanding at the time was that it simply came down to a last minute race as to who could give Mark Fry a pledge on the £500 'exclusivity deposit'....but Cortese's words this evening imply (don't they?) that there was some sort of favouritism at play and as such it wasn't an even race....? Am I reading between the lines incorrectly here or was Fry indeed, for some reason, ignoring Liebherr's original bid? Yes, I know this is 'old ground' and that there are those who want to let sleeping dogs lie, but, as FF and others have rightly pointed out before, we will still be seeing the fall out of the takeover 'debacle' in months, perhaps years, to come....yes, it happened in the past but the knock on effect is very much in the 'here and now'.... What really happened?
  6. Sod the price of the beer. It's the quality of the beer they need to get right. FFS
  7. If I finish first can I do the kumquats?
  8. So, in essence, what you're saying is that Matt should have given Tony's plums a good old squeeze before choosing to allign with him?
  9. I've no idea...but hidden in your answer is the reason I was pondering... ;-)
  10. Unless he's been talked into a more organic path into management....
  11. BTW...he's "only" 37....HCDAJFU in the third tier of English football? Player-Coach anyone?
  12. I won't believe it until I see Mister Neil's photograph....
  13. Fair point. Apologies for my misinterpretation.
  14. Q: Who is the current SFC finance director?
  15. Cheers Weston. Didn't know that...interesting... Yet another one of my crackpot theories bites the dust!
  16. mind·less (mndls)adj. 1. a. Lacking intelligence or good sense; foolish. b. Having no intelligent purpose, meaning, or direction: mindless violence. 2. Giving or showing little attention or care; heedless: mindless of the dangers. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/mindless
  17. Aye....There's almost as much intrigue there as a certain ex-chairman employing the services of a company that he'd recommended to his clients in another company before his banker then moved to said recommended company.... I agree with you.....Let's get all the 'intrigue' investigated in one fowl swoop....
  18. Hmmm, interesting interpretation of 'mindless'. I look forward to meeting these "clever" chaps at the next Mensa convention....
  19. Bugger. I got off to such a good start too.
  20. You may well be right. My understanding is that the "attendance" figure quoted isn't actually the 'attendance' figure, rather it is the number of seats sold, which will include any season ticket holders who couldn't make the game. I think...
  21. Valerie Singleton
  22. We got the ball far enough forward in the last 20 minutes for one of our players to be offside 3 times? Sounds like a blooming triumph to me!
  23. But what's worse? People moaning or people moaning about people moaning? Good moaning all :-)
  24. Nineteen canteen is simply making some valid observations about Matt's book. Just because people don't like his 'style' isn't a reason to ban him. It's just a football message board. It's very easy to ignore certain poster's comments when scrolling down through a thread. It would appear though that some people don't want to ignore because it gives them something to bite into...hmmm... If one looks closely, the poster's name is in big red letters and what he posts is in little black letters. When you see a name in big red letters that you don't like, you don't then read the little black letters. Just a thought. Good Lord above.
  25. Grilled in butter with a herb crust works better IMHO
