  1. Oooh... Should be two
  2. I think playing on a surface that doesn't resemble a cow field is probably helping too
  3. So, unless I've got my chronology wrong, either Russell was being economic with the truth at yesterday's press conference, if he knew about the reported "conversations" that had already taken place between Wilcox and Man Utd, or he genuinely hadn't been told and will therefore be completely pissed off given he said he would have hoped Wilcox would've mentioned it to him beforehand...?
  4. Coincidentally...
  5. Given other fixtures and the international break in March, the earliest it could be rearranged for is 16th/17th April, so there would be a maximum of 2.5 weeks between the rearranged Leicester game and the Leeds game on 4th May.
  6. Source?
  7. Now there's a sentence you don't hear very often!
  8. Ok, you win
  9. It's actually in both of our hands, as it would come down to the last game of the season if we match each other's results between now and then...
  10. Enough to allegedly attract interest from one of the biggest clubs in the world, I would venture....
  11. RM: "I hope it's people putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5. I'd like to think he'd have had a chat with us about it if there was anything in it. In a way it's good that the likes of Jason are being linked with big clubs (paraphrased)"
  12. RM: "I didn't get much sleep last night because I'm excited about what we can achieve at WBA..."
  13. RM: "We hope both Adams and Downes will be available for tomorrow... they're close, but not certain"
  14. FFS
  15. Found it: https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/1758117738810110078?s=20 (Have also posted link on the Wilcox thread)
  16. Yay! The positive Charlie returneth!
  17. Whilst we're not a one-man team, far from it, my feeling is that you're under-estimating how pivotal Downes is to the way we play. When Downes plays we simply don't "give the ball away too easily in situations you'd expect us to retain control" anywhere near as much.... yes, I accept that was also happening in other positions on the pitch on Tuesday, but by far the key position that happened in was central midfield. As I say, just a different opinion and I respect your point of view.
  18. STOP MOANING ABOUT PEOPLE MOANING FFS!
  19. Indeed.... I posted at the time (when the squad vs Bristol City was announced) that we didn't have any holding / defensive midfielders on the bench. On reflection, it does seem somewhat of an oversight (by Wilcox & co) that we've got decent squad depth in most positions but seemingly not in the 'No.6' position...
  20. Yeah, but you're not allowed to take into account what might have or nearly happened.... #saintsweblaw
  21. I think that may have been part of the 'wind-up'....
