Classic non-sequitur territory. Just because something happened in the past doesn't mean that it'll happen again in the future. I was a fully paid-up member of the Ralph "cult" (chortle) but even I could see that his time had naturally come to an end.
-
Shouldn't he have been sent off in that case?
-
I agree it was a clear penalty but, as you say, given it was clear on the TV replays, why on Earth did it take the officials 4 minutes to see the blindingly obvious?

Personally, I blame NAMG and the whole oil rig saga back in the day....
-
I'm clinging onto the forlorn hope that they're implementing some kind of bizarre yet genius plan whereby relegation makes us a stronger force to be reckoned with in the longer run... Straitjacket for Trousers...

Since when was pulling a shirt not a penalty?
-
They didn't add the full quota in the first half IMO
-
Yes, but specifically thinking of headers when JWP pumps a high ball in
-
Have any of our players ever got a header on target from a JWP corner / free-kick? Ever?
-
If only you'd posted that after the Chelsea game and before the Leeds game... we'd now be hailing you a footballing genius...

He was much better before he started having fitness issues two years ago. Definitely one of our best attacking midfielder if/when he gets back to pre-covid fitness levels.
-
I can't work out what's most embarrassing/laughable there... Us for only having 8 touches in the box or Everton for having 37 but not scoring and still losing...
-
Can't quite believe I'm saying this but when I saw Long's name on your list there it occured to me that I actually miss not having him on the bench to come on and be a nuisance in the last 20 minutes of a game... Pretty much sums up where we've got to with this squad...
-
The same bloke that picked him last week when he had a decent game...?
-
I know I'm in danger of entering Glen Hoddle territory here, but I wonder if the club has ever considered getting a therapist in to determine whether the players have a genuine psychological problem or if they are simply indolent twats?
-
I did float that potential outcome last week. I just thought/hoped the players would/could maintain the "give a shit" mode for the rest of the season. It would appear not. Do they genuinely not give a shit when they play like yesterday or do they have a mental condition that's treatable?
-
Any chance you could post this "look how clever I am" observation after every poor result? Thanks (Over to you for the 'suppressed laugh' gif...)

What I don't get is this... Last week, our defenders (and the whole team) DID throw their bodies in front of everything and did their bit for team... But this week? Nah, can't be arsed.... Genuine question... Are there any psychologists on the forum who can explain to me how human being 'x' can flip from putting their all in one week to putting in a half-arsed performance the next...? What on Earth is going through their deficient minds? Forget about extra training, do our players need to see a shrink first and foremost to determine why we seem to be the only team in the league where the majority of the players seemingly have a mental health issue? As I say, genuine question.
