In my humble opinion, I don't think the numbers involved is particularly relevant. It only took 0.000002% of British muslims (4 out of 2,000,000) to kill 52 people and bring the capital of the UK to a standstill on 7/7/2005. Was that insignificant? It's not the absolute number of extremists that matters. It's what they end up doing, surely?
