Clutching at a straw or two here but if my 'only' debt was a mortgage I had on my house (i.e. I had no unsecured loans, credit cards, etc) my answer to the question "Are you in debt?" would be "no". Technically, I am in debt to the mortgage company, but because it is a secured loan against something worth more than the mortgage I personally wouldn't class it as a debt. As I say, I'm technically incorrect but with my 'simple human being' hat on I wouldn't see it like that. Who's to say that Cortese wasn't using similar human artistic licence when saying that the club no longer has any debt? Perhaps people are taking his words too literally?

Just a thought: Given the lower prices this season, I wonder how many Season Ticket holders will have bought them as a way of reserving a seat for the games they can make rather than intending to attend 'most' games. For example, I was on the cusp of buying one even though I can only make c.10 games a year but it was a little more expensive than paying for those 10 games on the door. However, had I been looking at 15 games then it would have made sense to buy a season ticket even though I'd miss half the games. So, what I'm guessing is that, more than any previous season, this season may see a far less % of season ticket holders attending 'most' games? In other words, and starting to waffle for England, but greater season ticket sales may not translate into greater actual attendees at each game....? Thanks for reading such drivel.

I believe the suggestion is that AP will have signed enough quality players before the start of the season and we go on to win our first 5 games as a result.
