  1. Apart from Manchester City it would seem....
  2. Aye...but seeing that list doesn't make it any easier to digest
  3. Exactly

  5. It's gotta be Newcastle at home.....
  6. Blimey ...that list of seeds vs non-seeds is a bit of a sobering shot in the arm for anyone who was still clinging forlornly onto the belief that we were still a 'big club'!
  7. Cheers for the clarifications. I guess in that case this thread has probably run it's course now. As we were.
  8. Believe it or not, if I was to be pushed for an opinion (rather than one of my astute observations...) I tend to agree with you. It didn't surprise me in the slightest that our PLC chairman wasn't at the game. But, being a balanced kinda chap (contrary to any impressions to the contrary one might exude!) I also think that the opposite view is a valid one given our circumstances. I don't think there's a wrong or right argument here
  9. Indeed. Is your face the same shade of blue as mine in trying to explain this to people?

  11. Good point, well made!
  12. What's happened to Patterson? I thought he looked like one of our better prospects when I saw him in the pre-season game at Farnborough - he was a strong presence in the last third - but can't recall seeing him in any of the squads thus far. Any news?
  13. Sorry if I've missed this elsewhere but have just spotted that all the player profile photos have been updated on the OS. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=8719 I was a little surprised to see that the players with supposedly large question marks hanging over their futures at SFC have also got new pics. They are almost smiling too! Is this an indicator that we're now trying to keep hold of the likes of Rasiak, Skacel, Euell etc, or am I having one of my 2+2 = 5 moments? cheers
  14. The opening one? (Ok, there is logically no difference between missing the opening fixture and any other fixture but, logic aside, there is usually a human instinct that kicks in whereby the 'first' of any series of 'events' has seemingly more 'importance' than those that follow....as I say, nowt logical about that...it's just the way humans tend to perceive things)
  15. Any thoughts on whether JP will shuffle the pack a little for the visit of Birmingham. Given they are one of the 'big boys' in this league it wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Rasiak and John figure more than they have done recently....
  16. No issue....just an observation.
  17. I still think people are right to view it as a tad odd that the figurehead of an organisation is 'away' during the opening week of an event that said organisation is participating in. It would be like Ron Dennis going on holiday in March and missing the opening Grand Prix race of the Formula 1 season. It's just a valid observation (rather than an opinion)....
  18. 0 - 0 with Killer going off injured after 23 mins
  19. It was 'Play School' to be precise but still fits the bill....
  20. Chloe Ashcroft?
  21. No, incorrect. People weren't "jumping to conclusions"...they were simply reacting to suggestions that MW and/or RL were elsewhere....the subtle hint being that it was to do with investment/takeover talks. HTH
  22. Which begs the question why some respected posters last night were hinting that they were 'elsewhere' on 'SFC/SLH business'....doesn't add up....(unless it's all rubbish of course...)
  23. Perhaps he's recently come into some money.....
