  1. Indeed, but typically 'before' or 'after' the event rather than 'during' though. Was just wondering (semi tongue-in-cheek-ly, obviously ) why sports people only seem to be able to perform at their best when being encouraged 'during' as well as 'before' and 'after'. Perhaps it's only the mediocre sportspeople that need ongoing encouragement whereas the top notch ones can perform to the best of their ability regardless of external encouragement? Any sports psychologists out there? (must be a few as it's one of those 'easy pass' degrees....so I'm told...) ;)
  2. "come on trousers.....make your daily sales report a good one....you can do it son....."
  3. The trouble with these so called 'tyre kickers', that we've been told about on here over the last 18 months, is that there appears to be no risk or consequences to suffer on their part as they come and go without any legal or moral obligation to explain what happened and to apologise for wasting people's intellectual time. And don't tell me that there is "no obligation for explanations due to us only finding out through leaks etc".....I think we've cleary established now that it is in these people's interest to leak such information to gauge feedback on what the reaction would be if they were successful. Cake. Eat it. Pawns.
  4. Whilst agreeing that we should "cheer on our boys" it made me think what an interesting breed of the human race footballers are.....Here am I, sitting at my desk and I'm managing to do a superb job (inbetween rare visits to this message board...) without anyone cheering me on. What is going on neurologically in the head of sportsmen (and women) that results in under-performance if someone isn't clapping and cheering their work?
  5.
  6. 168 posts.....nice catch.... .....................
  7. There's more chance of Dyer being whisked away by Michaela Strachan than Gordon Strachan. True as I'm standing here.
  8. I'm not sure about the exact figures (although I've got the accurate records stored away somewhere, obviously) but I recall that being posted far less than the number of times that people felt the need to post about yet another apathetic Rasiak performance. True story.
  9. Is the answer (a) ?
  10. Is this the obligatory hollow denial that this industry often uses to push up the price?
  11. Not if his overall season performances secure Watford a promotion spot at our expense.....that would cost us £60m....

  13. Indeed...as in....FFIFT
  14. Farnborough
  15. Source? Ta
  16. Sorry...my (usual) bad attempt at tongue-in-cheek-ness.... In all seriousness, I think this is a decent gesture by the club.
  17. In my opinion, I wouldn't have thought that the £5 difference will deter a significant number of walk-ups. I believe most people would still see £15 as a decent discounted price. Anyway...can you imagine people moaning about being asked to pay an extra fiver for something like this....would never happen on here....
  18. But it's the regularly attending non-season ticket holders that give most money to the club so shouldn't they be "rewarded" first....?
  19. Good point....Is Sullivan still looking to leave Birmingham and buy a club in the South....?
  20. Looking forwards..... Is Rupert Lowe back in time to attend the first home league game of the season this Saturday? Is Michael Wilde flying back to be at the game too? cheers
  21. ....and half of Thursday.... FFIFT
  22. You obviously missed the one about the price of bus tickets then.....
  23. It's all relative. £8 for 90 mins looks a tad steep when compared to the 525,600 minutes entertainment you can get on here for just a fiver
  24. Was going to mention that....the smilies that one selects from the smilies panel get turned into something else when posted. Now, what's that all about eh?
