Why does the Echo article refer to the current player's wages in the past tense? "so and so's wage WAS blah, etc...". Ok, I appreciate the wages were established in the past but they are what they are currently being paid so it seems strange to refer to current wages in the past tense.... Perhaps the person who leaked this to the Echo knows something about the short term (non)future of the club?

Indeed. And the amazing thing is that Jan admitted a month or so ago that our lack of pace on the wing was the reason why the 4-3-3 system hadn't been working for months....but still persisted with it....is it me or does something not quite add up here...?!

I was one of those calling for giving the academy boy(sh) a bigger/longer crack of the whip, but I don't recall us asking for a complete reverse of the previous philosophy of overloading the team with said journeymen. We were simply calling for a balanced approach. We've gone from one end of the scale to the other. So, not complete hypocrisy to be fair!

Just an observation, but you're comparing and contrasting results/outcomes. (Most) other people are comparing the effort and desire of Saints compared to these other sides.
