  4. If theres any chance that this is an indirect leak by the club to test the water of fan reaction.... Here's one for them....

  6. I'm more worried about the thread title being horribly out of date in a few days time
  7. p.s. horrified that they are contemplating removing Bountys from the Celebrations tubs. They're the best ones in there FFS!
  8. The purple one. Obviously
  9. Maybe Ivan Mance (Göztepe's Sporting Director, to which the above quote is attributed) has been spending too much time talking to Roberto Gagliardi....? https://blog.transferroom.com/sport-republic-steps-up-multi-club-ownership-plans-with-mance-hire "Mance's exact role at Sport Republic is not yet known, although he will work closely with Roberto Gagliardi, the former Head of Football Operations at Portsmouth FC, who joined the group earlier this year as Head of Business Development."
  10. Good example...
  11. I guess the marketing meeting went something along the lines of: "It doesn't matter what we write, those webbed finger f***ers can't read anyway"...?

  13. Always good to see MPs getting out of their Westminster bubble and embracing popular culture
  14. Given we're only 3 weeks away from the start of the World Cup, I'm not sure what difference it would make between sacking Semmens 'now' and in a few weeks...?
  15. I posted a similar train of thought on the B-Team thread yesterday. It does seem somewhat out-of-character for Ralph to suddenly ordain that a shed load of first team players should play in the B-Team. I get the counter-thought that it may just be a simple / innocent case of giving the fringe players some game time but that's not something that Ralph has historicaly used the B-Team for, so why now...? Whilst, admittedly, its conspiracy theory territory, I don't think we can necessarily rule out that there were 'other factors' that came into play with regards yesterday's B-Team line-up.
  16. Garrett wars
  17. How can we be sure that's true when he's not been given enough game time to establish any consistency in the first place? #chicken #egg
  18. I know some see the two 9-0s as unforgivable (and, to be fair, it's a valid point of view as any) but totally agree with your assessment above. I'd happily take a 9-0 defeat per season over the ultra-cautious approach we've adopted this season if that improves our overall success ratio.
  19. I'm entering conspiracy territory here but I wonder if this B Team line up is a result of the owners/board pulling rank on Hassenuttl and getting some game time for the some of the 'rising stars' ahead of Ralph being shown the door? (More likely to be just a case of giving the fringe players some much needed match time but one is prone to ponder these things...)
  20. Cor blimey guvnor...
  21. Short answer: no. It still baffles me that one of our free-scoring youngsters can't even get a place on the bench when our senior strikers are so blunt. I know it's a big step up and all that but, as you say, could they be any worse than our first choice strikers right now...?
  22. I still would though
  23. Yeah, nowhere near man of the match quality...
