Yeah, but surely the inevitable "told you so" badge-of-honour a month or so later would have more than made up for having to suffer the wrath of a few oiks on the internet?

There's a remarkable lack of posts defending Russell Martin to the hilt in September from those who are now scoffing at those who were justifiably concerned at the time... Somewhat surprising given they obviously knew for certain that everything would work out fine...
-
Yeah, it's amusing when posters slag off the manager or players when things aren't going well, only for them to improve in due course... How's Stu getting on these days...? Madness that Martin keeps selecting him....

Saints 4 Plymouth 1 Onwards and upwards!

Yep, he's won me over too Moral of the story? Stick with one's usual/default ultra-positive benefit-of-the-doubt mentality and it'll eventually pay dividends... Looking for the negative slant in a given scenario isn't for me, it transpires... I'll leave that to the posters that are much better at that approach to life than me from here on in... (Where is Alpine these days, btw? ) Russell Martin's Red and White Army! 🔴⚪🔴⚪🔴⚪

Great to see our domination now being converted into convincing wins. Keep this up and there's every chance we could grasp an auto-promotion slot, something that seemed unrealistic only a few weeks ago. COYR!

Is Howe still the Messiah amongst certain quarters of the Saintsweb intelligentsia...?

Smacks of Martin trying to shoehorn Stephens into the line up. Hope to be proven wrong of course!

It's surely written in the runes that Russ's previous club will be the one that breaks our unbeaten run...

Adam has corrected his original post, now saying the same as the Echo, i.e. it's a new injury, not a recurrence of the previous one...
-
If it's an injury that's unrelated to his previous injury (as per the Echo report this evening) then it could just be rotten luck, rather than misjudgment, couldn't it?

How many transfer windows is that now that we've failed to appoint an accomplished and/or prolific striker? Surely the powers-that-be won't cock up yet another window in that regard...?
