  1. Crikey. So, KWP left back?
  2. Yeah... probably best if revert back to my "this squad is good enough for top 10" schtick of last season... much more positive
  3. I'm going to drop my 'dog with bone' routine from here on in, as its quite obvious there is something awry of a sensitive nature and wholeheartedly agree that we should respect Salisu's privacy in this regard. My beef has only ever been directed at the club for the way they have drip fed fans seemingly misleading information... In September we were told he was almost ready and would likely be available after the first international break. We were then told in October that he was 'close' and would be in contention after the second international break. Two international breaks later and the vibes are that he isn't going to be ready any time soon. Ok, I accept that circumstances change and maybe at the various times the club said he was he was 'almost ready' he was indeed at that stage of readiness, but then had a relapse. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. Anyway, my apologies for banging on about it over the last few months. All the best to him and here's hoping whatever the issue is resolves itself as soon as possible. Over and out.
  4. If only there was an England goalkeeper playing for the team currently towards the top of the Premier League form table...
  5. My pleasure (very moist in fact) *It's 'your' btw
  6. My experience is zero, hence my reliance on the club being transparent and honest with fans rather than the current obfuscation. Hope that helps, my luvvur.
  7. FFS... How long does a professional footballer need to "build up his fitness"? And why do the club continue to treat fans like mugs? Just tell us what's wrong with Salisu FFS, rather than glibly tell us week in week out that he's "not quite ready". Aaaaand.... Relax

  9. Here's the list of B-Team defenders.... not sure who out of these plays left back though? One for @LeG to answer maybe?
  10. I know there are SWF question marks over Smallbone's 1st team credentials but, given the limited options at left back, I'm assuming Smallbone comes back into the starting 11 (if he's fully recovered from his injury?) with JWP dropping to full back....? I guess another option would be for Slattery to leap-frog Smallbone, but I suspect that's unlikely. (I would actually prefer Slattery over Smallbone as I feel he offers more tenacity as a midfielder. Slattery is the B-Team captain afterall, and the whole philosophy behind the new B-Team modus-operandi is that players can step up to the first team in a relatively seamless manner when required. If the captain of the B-Team isn't ready to step up then isn't the whole B-Team philosophy flawed?) Anyway, given all the injuries, this it what I reckon Ralph might go for.... -------------------------- --- McCarthy ------------------------------- ---- KWP ------ Stephens / Bednarek ----- Vestergaard --------- JWP --------------------- Romeu ------------- Smallbone* ----------------- --------- Armstrong -------------------------------- Redmond -------- --------------------- Adams -------------- Walcott -------------------- Subs: Forster, Valery**, Stephens / Bednarek, Slattery, Long, N'Lundulu/Obefemi, Djenepo (*If Smallbone is still injured then Slattery to start and Jankewitz on the bench....?) (**Not sure what the current status is with Valery? We didn't have any full-backs on the bench last week - not sure if that was tactical or something is up with Valery?)
  11. Indeed...
  12. The positive half of me is thinking: "Could have been a lot worse. Best possible timing given the international break. Should only miss 3 games" The negative half of me is thinking: "Hmmm, when Saints say '4 to 6 weeks' they usually mean: 'It'll be months but we'll say 4 - 6 weeks initially to stop people panicking'. Fingers crossed he doesn't get an infection during the surgery like JRod and Sam McQueen did"
  13. Companies that refer to their staff as 'colleagues' F*** off. 'Staff' or 'employees' are perfectly adequate words to describe those that work for you FFS.
  14. "Salisu"
  15. Club
  16. Indeed. My Spurs supporting friend can't praise him highly enough... "the missing piece of the Mourinho jigsaw" etc etc
  17. I can see it it OK...
  18. Oh, go on then.... Pop!
  19. That looks more like an U18s line up to me?
