Question for anyone who follows the u21s closely... Do we have anyone in the squad at the moment who is head and shoulders above everyone else and thus likely to be knocking on the door of the first team this season? In other words, do we have another Jay Robinson or Tyler Dibling in our midst?

Given we needed to strengthen up front, and assuming we purchased Downs to achieve that aim, then surely, by definition, he has to start? Unless, of course, he was purchased as another back-up / squad-filler and we're yet to see that elusive 'better' striker materialise...? (And, no, I haven't thought this post through yet, so it comes with the usual: 'trousers could be talking bollocks' health warning, before anyone thinks to question my self-perceived wisdom 😁)

Yep, agree that's a reasonable ambition for a first season back, although some might hypothesise that you sometimes need to 'shoot for the stars to reach the moon'... (The other way around can sometimes work too of course... Back to my fence sitting best... )
