Whilst it's still too soon to start worrying about our lack of transfer activity, I'm starting to ponder whether or not Spors is all he's cracked up to be. We were told to expect a 'very active' transfer window but, up to now, it's all been relatively quiet. We're either in for a 'fun' 2 weeks coming up or it'll transpire that Spors and/or Dragan are all mouth and no trousers. And, as we all know.... No trousers, no party.... 😁

Portsmouth Community FC penalty saved 😂

Given they're too thick to work it out for themselves, someone ought to tell the hundreds of Pompey fans wearing their yellow away kit that it's the same colour as the opposition's...

Yep, that matches my understanding. Interesting that Still sees him as an out-and-out winger in that case, but I'm sure he knows more about football management than I do... 🙂

Is Dibling really an out-and-out winger? I've always seen him as more of a no.10 type player, i.e. an attacking midfielder/ playmaker.

Sounds like a job for AI to me... 😁

Aye, most likely

Trouble is, there's usually just the one broadcast-media person in the room at Championship level (i.e. Adam Blackmore), so we don't get the more probing questions you'd usually get from the likes of Sky Sports if they were in attendance. That said, you'd have thought that Adam would've used at least one of his 6 alloted questions to enquire about incomings... unless he was briefed beforehand to keep shtum of course....

Still confirms Dibling is now back in "normal" training and is possibly an option for Sunday (very non-commtital, unsurprisingly)

Good morning Tyler. Welcome to the forum 👍

Trouble is, we all know what happens when a team have a hoodoo to break and the mighty Saints are in town... P.s. when was the last time we won an away league game...? Edit: vs Ipswich on 1st Feb 2025....

Yay! Another sub-£5m bargain bucket player... Wheel him in! #calmdownitsonlyfootiebanter

I'm yet to be convinced by Archer.... on paper, he's a good player at this level, but he just seems to be anonymous in games a lot of the time.... not sure if that's purely down to lack of service or if he's not "putting himself about" enough...? A player like Ings, for example, if he wasn't getting any service would say "f*** that" and go hunting for the ball himself, whereas Archer seems content to wait for things to happen rather than make things happen. Just an observation although, admittedly, I've not studied him avidly (so every chance I'm talking nonsense, for a change....)

I've not been following the developments very closely so most likely that I'm out of date 👍

Ah, ok... Missed that if true. Thought Everton were still in the 30s but every chance I'm behind the times.

Indeed. He'll end up going for around the £40m mark I reckon (hunch).

Ballard's really dropped down the pecking order, hasn't he... Unless he's coming back from injury or such like?
