  1. Indeed. Me too. But that's probably why you and I aren't paid millions of pounds to sit in front of said microphone and act professionally at all times. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it....
  2. I'm guessing that the "dislike" is as much to do with the somewhat sardonic and haughty attitude that comes across in some of his interviews as it is to do with his dogmatic approach to the game, per se...?
  3. Any chance you could remind us at least 3 times a day how on-the-ball you are with this PSR malarkey? I tend to lose track if its only mentioned every now and then. Much obliged....
  4. Maybe I'm not thinking straight, or the sarcasm has gone over my head, but how can we miss someone who's had next to zero impact in the 14 months he's been here...?
  5. Anyone else seeing the irony in a Scottish Nationalist citing nationalism as a bad idea...? At least it'll give Alanis Morrisette a new verse should she ever feel the need to write a sophomore version of her most renowned piece of work...
  6. Blimey, didn't realise Hoddle was also a manager whilst still playing for Spurs...
  7. No "perhaps" about it, I would venture. As much as I like Adam's persona and style, it's easy to tell when he's holding back on what he really thinks by the diplomatic 'around the houses' way that he sometimes phrases his* questions to Martin (and answers to questions that fans throw at him). And I should know, being a founder member of the Fence Sitting Association (*Yes, of course, this no-doubt also applies to most sports journalists / reporters, especially the local ones)
  8. You mean this universe we're in is the *actual* universe? Bugger, I was rather hoping we were already in an alternate reality and Saints were still a decent PL club in the real world... Bugger and thrice bugger
  9. Robert Mugabe?
  10. Doctor
  11. Source...?
  12. Wit
  13. Indeed. This democracy malarkey is a seriously flawed concept...
  14. If only we'd had a recent general election where the intelligent majority could've voted for a party that was advocating rejoining the EU...
  15. Yeah, they should be back in their fields where they wouldn't be getting wet.... 🤦‍♂️
  16. My daughter was diagnosed with ME (aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) earlier this year. Wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Her life is basically on hold at the age of 27
  17. Ah... Asturias Sports... Personally, I'd much prefer the return of NAMG and their Chinese oil rigs...

  19. FWIW, I definitely "Buy British" much more than I did, say, 5 years ago, but that may well be more down to moving to 'the countryside', where one is more inclined to support the local farms and cottage industries etc, than anything to do with Brexit and the resultant drop in imports, per se.
  20. Fair point. I wonder if Solak would be open to the notion of splitting the investment with 'someone else'? Of course, he actually already does given Katharina still has her 20% sharing in the club (I assume), so would he be willing to divide the ownership even more...?
  21. This might be a daft question, but why would someone of Solak's wealth need 3rd party investment in order to make a success of the club? Isn't it more a case of getting someone in to spend *his* money more astutely than the current lot are spending it...?
  22. Living the dream, I see...! (So says the man sat here in his pyjamas watching 'Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh' 😁)
