Looks that way.... Same crime, little or no indignation from the footballing world... Crack on with next season as if nothing had happened.... Sliding doors and all that...

There surely has to be a valid reason (from the club's point of view) why they haven't even put out a holding statement yet? One would hope it's because they think they've got a rabbit to pull out of the hat at the appeal, which will turn the case on it's head (the "they're all at it, and you knew it" bombshell?), but I guess the more realistic reason for no statement is they haven't got a clue what they're doing....

Good question!

As I mentioned the other day, when coming up with a predicted outcome in a situation like this, it's always best to go for a realistic 'worst case scenario ', as it means you either get to play your "ner ner ner ner ner, told you so" card, or your "phew, glad I was proven wrong" card. You can't really lose when predicting the worst outcome... We should all try it sometime, rather than being so blimin' optimistic! (Or, better still, go with what is known as the 'Glasgow' methodology and post different predicted outcomes but only quote yourself on the one that ended up happening... You get awarded an extra special medal for that one... )

Catching up slowly... But still 3 pages behind!
-
Because we thought it might have more impact as part of the appeal?

It's difficult to work out who are the most amateur here.... Us or the EFL.... What's the process for the EFL picking up sanctions for their incompetence too...?
-
There are 307 numbered rules in the highway code... Recite them all now without peeking...
-
Said in jest, but nicely highlights the idiotic 'solution' the EFL came up with to deal with 'Spygate 1.0'....

With no connection to the company that the original panel worked for?

Bollocks.... Just come out of a work meeting and now I'm a further 4 pages behind... FFS!

A few of my Liverpool supporting chums have now started piping up in PMs.... "What's it like to support a club that cheats?"... Hmm... Where to start my replies.... #tappingup

All sponsors pull out, the club ends up in administration, then liquidation, and a phoenix club starts up again in the 7th tier?
-
Plot twist: Will Salt ends up working for Middlesbrough once the dust on all this has settled...?
-
Yep, especially if Sport Republic have neglected the statutory compliance function within the club for several months, as some have insinuated...
-
Yep, agree... That info came out after I wrote my post... The page count on here is going up quicker than I can read...! (I'm still an hour behind in catch up mode)
-
Now we have much more information than we had this time yesterday, yes, I would say that's the current position 👍🏻
-
Yeah, fair cop.... On reflection, I retract my bonkers notion 🙂

Or the scousers setting off a chain of negative impact events when they tapped up our best player....

It is feasible, if not overly plausible, that Tonda was ignorant of the rules and those above him didn't know (or care) how he was gathering data, so had no reason to question him on it. As I say, as unlikely as that sounds, we can't rule it out 100%, can we...? #benefitofthedoubt

IF the appeal is successful (ain't gonna happen) then i genuinely think the club should consider forfeiting the game Vs Hull and let them go through. Yes, I know such a bonkers view will attract the usual pelters from the self-appointed forum thought police, but it would go a massive way to rescue what's left of our tattered reputation.... Anyway, ain't going to happen so all moot...
-
I disagree... SR aren't anywhere near as clever / canny as Gibson... We'd have conceded the situation with a whimper...
-
As part of the appeal, maybe we should insist that the EFL impose a two-way transfer embargo on us for a year...?
