  1. Fair point. Yep, Long is a good example of someone who hasn't lost any significant pace into their 30s.
  2. I almost added a similar caveat to my post along those very lines
  3. What kind of nutters would go to that level of stalking....?
  4. # Devil's advocate klaxon # As much as I'd like to see Theo back at St.Mary's, am I alone in thinking that, at the ripe old age of 28, his best days are now behind him? Obviously, if he was a goalkeeper, central defender, holding midfielder or a Rickie Lambert-esque target man, I'd be quite rightly accused of talking out of my hat, as players in those positions can be in their prime in their late 20s/early 30s. However, Theo's primary attribute has always been his speed, but speed is very much a young man's game. Is Trousers talking nonsense here, just for a change, or could the old SWF stalwart have a valid point this time?
  5. Luan Guilherme de Jesus Vieira
  6. I think you love eachother really. The spikey banter is merely a facade masking your mutual passion and devotion. Just a hunch P.s. apologies for going off topic folks. It's contagious on here
  7. It was only a suggestion. Other notions are available. No big deal. My next mission is world peace. Should be a breeze compared with attempting to seek harmony on here
  8. Here's an idea to shut up the nasty cynic fraternity... The next time you get told something that's not in the public domain and is about to break in the coming hours/days, send a private message (or email ) to one of the mods or admins 'in confidence'. Then, when the news breaks the aforementioned mod/admin can confirm that you knew beforehand. You might say that's a bit of a faff, but it's actually quite a simple and quick step that a genuine 'ITKer' could do in order to corroborate their credibility. Just an idea.
  9. 'niceandfriendly' slags off JWP incessantly, regardless of whether he has a good or bad game, ergo he is bound to be "right" from time to time. #brokenclocksyndrome
  10. Just look at it as free entertainment...watching the usual suspects blow a gasket every now and then
  11. Pellegrino has taken us back to the Pochettino/Koeman era of not taking cups seriously.
  12. He plays golf for 48 hours solid when we win. Purely coincidental.
  13. Statistically, we were unlikely to get to the same final two years in the trot so at least we can concentrate on the FA Cup now. #everycloud
  14. Losing 3-5 on penalties?
  15. You must have an extremely short memory...
  16. I thought Dunkirk was an excellent film. I can see why it has the marmite effect on people though.
  17. This sounds like a job for The9. Where for art thee?
  18. Actually, now you mention it, it's a shame we didn't sign Friar Tuck. Much more comedy rhyming potential there
  19. I think its reasonable to infer that from the article. (i.e. it doesn't state, explicitly or otherwise, that Pellegrino will have less to spend than before the takeover)
  20. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/sport/southampton-owner-tells-mauricio-pellegrino-he-has-no-extra-funds-6xz3ff8v6 No direct quotes from the owner(s) in that article though. Make of that what you will...
  21. Nice idea.... so, the original lyrics to start with then... Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men Feared by the bad, loved by the good Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood Over to the SWF Tim Rices of this world...
  22. I assume there aren't any speed stats for Forster as he was too slow to trigger the timer? (boom tish... only kidding folks)
  23. Can anyone do anything clever with this one?
