  1. That one does finish like that (I didn't recognise the first 28 seconds either)
  2. Move to Spurs confirmed https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-08-23/paulo-gazzaniga-completes-tottenham-hotspur-move

  5. MP's Pre-match interview... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-08-23/video-mauricio-pellegrino-southampton-wolves Says that Targett has picked up an injury so is doubtful. So a start for McQueen I guess
  6. Especially as he was only out by 3 days...
  7. Any other secrets you want to share with our opponents...?
  8. Bugger... I do that quite a lot! Spending half my life on here is obviously driving me senile Chuck JWP in the starting 11 in that case, with Davis on the bench
  9. I'm thinking.... McCarthy Cedric Yoshida © Bednarek Targett Romeu Hojbjerg Redmond Boufal Austin Subs: Taylor, McQueen, Stephens, JWP, Tadic, Gabbiadini, Long Rested/Dropped/Injured/Sulking/On their way out of the door: Forster, Pied, Gardos, Bertrand, van Dijk, Lemina, Davis, Clasie, Sims, Hesketh, Wood, Jones, Flannigan, Valery
  10. Yes. It's working quite well so far... (Just don't tell the mods... They can be a bit trigger happy when it comes to banning obvious WUMs... )
  11. It's a valid concern but recent history tells us we're quite successful at turning relatively unknown players, that no one else is seemingly in for, into quality 'big club' players. (and, yes, we've had some misses as well as hits too, but we're never going to get a 100% strike rate)
  12. It's vintage Glasgow, before the subtleties kicked in a few years ago. I'm actually finding it quite nostalgic.
  13. The "glad I was proved wrong" cards are being given a polish as we speak...
  14. Doing what all the usual suspects do at moments like this...
  15. Lost on away goals in the second leg tonight
  16. VVD isn't being held to the last day of his contract either. The VVD situation is relatively unique compared to previous departures in that he decided he wanted to leave having just signed a contract extension. (That said, I guess Lallana's situation was fairly similar). Most players who leave for one of the 'top clubs' do so significantly before the end of their contracts and I don't see that changing (if they don't sign an extension) All the VVD situation tells prospective signees is that they shouldn't sign a contract extension unless they want to commit more of their time here. As such, it hasn't damaged our attractiveness to future prospects IMO.
  17. ...
  18. *Dijk's
  19. Confirmed
  20. I'm still hoping the attacking player is Luan. Unlikely as it may be.
