Yeah, I would too of course...was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.... but I've seen Saints throw away too many leads over the last few years to feel comfortable at 2-0 up in the first half
-
Here's hoping we don't go 2 nil up after 20 minutes... Far too early in the game to feel safe as a Saints fan! #scartissue
-
Indeed. Tomorrow is no time for a risk averse approach

<MLG MODE> If he's that vital for the final then by logical extension he's equally vital for tomorrow's 'semi final'....
-
Yeah, it had that vibe about it

It's as close to me getting off the fence as you're ever likely to see...

I never claimed it was, you numpty. (No offence). Try reading what people actually say. (Or get one of your consortium members to do it for you) #missingthepointentirely

RM: "Che Adams is in a much better place than he was. We'll see if he's ready for tomorrow" (when asked about Che's fitness and likelihood of playing tomorrow) Hmm....

It's the Post Office's Chief Information Officer's turn to testifiy today.... Jesus... are there any senior/executive managers out there that actually do anything over and above hiding behind delegation and/or 'lack of recall'...? If I'd have known 30 years ago how seemingly piss easy it is to be a senior/executive manager I'd have set my career goals much higher up the management ladder! Just bask in all the plaudits (and 6 or 7 figure bonuses) when things go well, but shirk responsibility and shrug sholuders, with hollow corporate-ese apologies, when things go tits up. Edit: I'm watching this morning's hearing on catch-up and she (the CIO) started crying when reminded of a Subpostmaster who had to cash in her pension to pay for an £18,000 shortfall... maybe there is some compassion amongst ex-POL senior management afterall...

Yep, I've always said that. I'd even go to 30 seconds. That's plenty of time to work out if there's a "clear and obvious" error.

This is it in a nutshell. They are trying to use VAR to solve a problem that doesn't exist. You're totally right: people have lost sight of why the offside rule exists in the first place, i.e. to prevent strikers taking the piss, which a lino is quite capable of deducing with the human eye. Measuring it to the nearest millimetre is missing the point entirely.
-
That video also nicely highlights why the current system and process used by the Premier League for offside decisions isn't fit for purpose, i.e. it isn't suitable for marignal decisions due to video frame rates. Which begs the question why the PL ever sanctioned the use of such a flawed system in the first place....

A very touching story Jeyyy, thanks for sharing. Your father sounds like a wonderful man ❤️ As someone else said, its a shame this isn't on the main Saints section of the forum where more people are likely to see it (wonder if the mods can move it? @Lighthouse?) Would also be good if someone on here with connections in the club could make them aware of Jeyyy's father's story as it would be great if they could do something for Jeyyy and his family next season....

Does he dabble in rocket science too, per chance....?

Yep, this. I can recall several games where the likes of Dibling and Amo-Ameyaw were on the bench and we were cruising to a win with 10-15 minutes to go and we bring on the likes of Mara or Sulemana for a pointless cameo when we could've given the youngsters a bit of game time.

They did automatically get asterixed out on here once upon a time. **** knows why they ****ing don't any ****ing more....
-
Spoiler alert...we all know it's going to go to penalties and we'll go out as Jack Stephens launches the last spot kick into row Z... #youhearditherefirst

Yeah, best to keep that kind of language to the school playground...

Don't the two scenarios go hand-in-hand? i.e. if there's no DoF then it's inevitable that Rasmus would have to fill the void...?
-
Not forgetting they were also the team that set the Hassenhuttl downfall in motion by walloping us 4-1 that time (the previous season?)

How's the golf going up there in Glasgow....?
