  1. I'm just sticking to my point. Any reasonable person would agree with me. However expressing a view that people should be considerate for others on this forum brings out of the woodwork all those that aren't considerate. They then come lumbering into the thread with petty insults and their arguments collapse at the first hurdle and are only concerned with how they like to view a game of football and sod everyone else.
  2. At no point did I make a direct comparison between the two. What I did say was that to insult someone for something which they have no control due to genetics, be it hair colour or skin colour is wrong and shouldn't be tolerated.
  3. No, I'm 27 year old and 6 foot 1 . However I was forced to stand for the penalty due to those in front doing so and I obstructed the view of an elderly man behind me. He remained seated as he was too frail to keep standing up and missed the goal. If however everyone was seated, everyone would have had an unobstructed view. I really can't understand why so many in this thread think that this is ok!!!
  4. What if the have no choice and have to sit due to frailty or kids or lack of height? I stood for the penalty but on because I was forced to do so because the rows in front of me did. The frail elderly gentleman behind me with a walking stick was obstructed by 6 foot of me and remained seated and missed it. If everyone had remained seated he would have seen the goal.
  5. I think you have bridged the gap and managed both because you are unable to counter any of my points with anything approaching a coherent argument.
  6. I'd rather be a wierdo than an inconsiderate buffoon that is only concerned with watching the game how they like, rather than taking into account their actions maybe spoiling the experience of a Wembley final for others. Which is the exact position you have taken.
  7. Answer the question rather than throwing around petty insults because you disagree with me. Not a very mature way to discuss something.
  8. How did standing make the penalty any better? You'd have seen exactly the same thing if you were sat down and then jumped up when Lambert scored. In doing so everybody could have seen it rather than just those that were stood up.
  9. Did all Saints fans before they booked tickets read this forum? Did others all around the stadium stand not just behind the goal? Yes. I'd rather be a "boring but considerate to others arsehole" than a selfish d!ck.
  10. Only available to those in the UK.
  11. Because you haven't paid a license fee and copyright issues ensue.
  12. Why haven't you got Saints player? Essential viewing for non UK based Saints. Two week free trial atm and only £17.99 for a year. They already have 12 minute highlights of the game and also put up 90 minutes of home games.
  13. As long as it is in a designated area where if you buy a tickets you are made aware it will be like that then I have no problem with standing.
  14. How would you feel if someone was stood up infront of your child or frail relative meaning they couldn't see the penalty? I'm guessing your avatar is your child. If someone stood in front of your child, would you not be a tad annoyed? I saw alot of elderly Saints fans remaining seated behind those standing up. They all missed it, yet you don't seem to give a sh!t. If everyone was seated everyone could have seen it just fine. What do you actually gain from standing to see a penalty? The positives nowhere near outweigh the drawbacks.
  15. No, doesn't matter once a goal is scored as the ball is not in play. Jump up, stand etc as you wish then. I'm surprised at your selfish and inconsiderate view.
  16. How would you feel if someone stood infront of you and you were unable to see the penalty? It then causes a ripple effect going backwards. If everyone remain seated everyone would see it perfectly.
  17. tbh that is quite pathetic. If it was a someone that couldn't stand easily at the drop of a hat or a small child you obstruct their view and force them to stand. By standing you cause a domino effect going backwards up the stand and people that have paid good money to see their team at Wembley miss it because for no real reason you want to stand. It is ok in theory doing it in the Northam end at St Mary's because people know that it will be like that. People don't have to go in the Northam. But at Wembley it is pointless and extremly selfish.
  18. Lloyd James has been fit enough to be on the bench for the last two games so he is likely only missing match fitness/sharpness.
  19. Not in a million years is he better than Puncheon. I'd still sign both Antonio and Papa Waigo in the summer. Both useful squad players.
  20. Jose Fonte Was awesome as usual and imo should have beaten Lambert to the man of the match. As usual for things like this they gave it to the striker/most "famous" player. Not that lambert wasn't very good, but I view Fonte as Saints best player and Lambert second best.
  21. This is the earliest I've been awake on a Sunday in ages. Plus my body clock still thinks it is 6am.
  22. 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42
  23. I'm sure Matt Le Tiss will be there. Surprised you left him out.
  24. I'm not saying I want Leeds to stay down. I just think if both Saints and Leeds are in League One next year, Saints would be favourites and Leeds 2nd. So of course it is better they go up.
  25. Bookies set odds based on the money the public place on teams. They are out to make money themselves. They don't set odds based on the perceived size of a club. Saints currently have a better starting 11 as the match at St Mary's showed. Leeds if they don't go up will lose a number of players and wouldn't strengthen like Saints would and have done.
