  1. I'd imagine that was a joke response by the poster on here.
  2. At least no one will have an excuse for not being prepared to pay in one go for 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14. The transition had to take place at some point. Some Saints fans need some personal finance lessons.
  3. Includes an interesting video, suggesting it will be based on an old kit. Opens with the sash kit... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2063020,00.html It will be a "tailored by Umbro range" kit. It also says it will be unveiled in the next few days.
  4. If you are bringing up the holding company, it was set up 7 YEARS before the insolvency rules made by the Football League. You can't be accused of trying to exploit a loophole if you did it 7 YEARS before the law was even made.
  5. Well this forum is for Saints chat. Theo left 4 years ago.
  6. A thread about it already exists in the World Cup forum. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=22932
  7. He wouldn't be accusing every Saints fan of being a credit risk/defaulting on payment and basically stealing a ticket. He would just be accusing "some", because they did and may do the same again.
  8. Barnet friendly part of a deal for Albert Adomah
  9. Maths not your strong point?
  10. Maybe Liebherr won't pay in installments for players continuing his father's business philosophy that has seen them do so well.
  11. It gives the club all the money upfront to use in the Summer transfer window. If people pay by installments then some of the money comes in after the window closes.
  12. A player on loan isn't the same as borrowing money.
  13. I'm sure the ticket office would be fully aware there would be a backlash of sorts to this. I would imagine it would have been taken into account that it wouldn't be universally popular. Thus it is unlikely (but not impossible) they will change anything, nor does it make it wrong if some people disagree with your choice.
  14. Those saying that season ticket numbers will be lower than last season are forgetting that last season Saints started on -10 and were unlikely to get promotion. This season the club are favourites to win the league and that will attract many to get a season ticket and see a promotion campaign. Yes, installments may lose some potential season ticket holders but the opportunity to see Saints win a league will no doubt attract new season ticket holders.
  15. Will the Echo run this story in a positive light to help sales for the club, or a negative light that harms sales?
  16. By removing installments it means the club has all the money from season tickets to spend during the summer transfer window. If this is how they want to change the season tickets it has to start one year. Now next year it won't be a surprise and people can save up and do some financial planning in future!
  17. I'm amazed at those that don't realise what a good player Schneiderlin is! Along with Lallana they have by far the best chance of making it in a top flight side. He certainly wouldn't leave for £1m so this story is clearly rubbish to start with. With his contract not ending until 2012 they can turn down any offer they don't like. Of course if he wants to move he wil move but 2 years on a contract and a big financhial backer means Saints can turn down offers until it reaches an acceptable level. £1m is no where near high enough.
  18. No 14th place next season?
  19. So posted at ten past midnight on a stagnight. Most stag nights involve a day of drinking. We all say things we regret or don't mean when we are drunk.
  20. They aren't confining themselves to only playing teams from England, they can go abroad so the weather has less of an impact. They could also play more games at Staplewood if they wished, which has a good surface.
  21. As many or as little as they want.
  22. Are you confusing Austin with Paynter? Leeds, I doubt could afford Austin.
