Of course you can't go on on historic record. What relevance does the Southampton team of 1991, 1992, 1993, 1999, 2003, 2008 etc have on the Millwall match? None what so ever, they are completely different teams and it has no bearing on the 8th August 2009.

He then showed we had won 2 of them. Which makes a mockery of his first statement.
-
That makes no sense.
-
You make a statement that we never win our first game and then provide data to disprove it
-
Alan, even a lazy Rasiak will score for fun in this league and very hard to replace. To let him go without a fight would be madness.
-
So you will bet on them going down to try and get some of that £575 back Nice thinking!
-
£575 What a rip off that is considering the quality of the stadium and team you will have to endure next season.
-
Betting on your teams failure. Not the best start to the season Andy

How did you feel after the Hearts game?

You will still find that lower league teams have significantly smaller squads than higher league teams. Larger squads are also used for squad rotation. You don't need to have squad rotation like Prem clubs the further down you go and thus lower league sides have much smaller numbers of senior players. Squad rotation is a luxury which requires money. You are right wages in lower leagues are lower but that doesn't mean it makes economic sense to have bloated squads. The evidence for this is found in the average squad sizes in League One. There may well be exceptions like you mention with Leeds but certainly not the rule.

Because budgets are smaller.

I don't normally comment but we are still a selling club!!!!

I think you'd take a different view if it was your career. Remember the future of Saints was still in limbo at the time and this move means he plays and tests himself at Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea rather than Exeter, Yeovil and Carlisle. Anyone that thinks players should choose the later is deluding themselves and need to remove the rose tinted glasses. -

Wolves gave him the chance to play in the Premiership two leagues above us. Also Wolves offered him Premiership wages and he has his young family to think of. No matter what Mr Liebherr does he will not offer players Premiership wages when we are currently in League One. I don't blame Surman for going at all and would have done the same. -
I'd say only... Leeds Charlton Norwich MK Dons Huddersfield Millwall ...pose a threat. The rest of the League is very poor.
-
You clearly don't know League One. 30 players is a HUGE squad in League One

Most teams in the world are selling clubs. In fact I'd say only Barcelona, Man City and Real Madrid are not selling clubs. We are in League One so of course we are. BWP, Skacel and Euell all were not sold btw -
I think you don't realise how poor most teams in League One are. We need 2 or 3 more players and we'll be fine
-
What is wrong with Dan Harding and Joseph Mills? Left back is one position I think we have sorted.
-
Also that Wotton is ahead of Gillett. Strange choice imo.

Beat you by 5 mins Nick

Football Manager 2009 - Southampton Save Game Thread
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
It does what it says on the tin - Football Manager 2009 is a Football Management game for the season 2008/2009. -
Because you used the shorter version of Richard beginning with D Nothing to do with being PC, how is the filter meant to know you used it as a name?
