  1. He didn't play upfront for large parts of the season. At times he player on the right and others he was in "the hole" behind two strikers like Euell and Saga. So to say he played upfront all season is wrong, and also to complain about his goal return in a poor team with poor service.
  2. I find that hard to believe.
  3. On the condition that they pay 2m and resign with no compensation. Hardly an inviting proposal. Leon Crouch knew they would never accept. His 2m would be safe in his pocket and he could live of the claim that he offered 2 million until he was exposed for making an empty promise he had no intention of ever following through by the Echo.
  4. i) Leon Crouch overspent beyond the clubs means and increased wage bill significantly whilst in charge. ii) He made a promise of £2m with conditions that he knew Lowe and Wilde would never agree to and that he would not have to pay. Wilde, Crouch and Lowe are all to blame. As for your point of intelligence Can you seriously dispute either point i) or ii)?
  5. Is quoting someone incorrectly not an offence on these boards?
  6. I did say Crouch wasn't the only reason Leon Crouch, Michael Wilde and Rupert Lowe all played a significant part in this mess. Of course its good that he is stumping up cash now, put it shouldn't be forgotten that that he is one of the reasons for all of this and his over spending whilst in charge and empty promises of 2m which he knew would never be agreed on the conditions he laid out.
  7. Considering he is a major (although not the only) reason we are in this mess, it's the least he can do!
  8. What is that based on?
  9. Then surely they would say what they think is going on rather than no coverage what so ever.
  10. I think its more the case that they don't have a clue whats going on.
  11. St Mary's doesn't need to be expanded for that. Thus would cost no extra money.
  12. Anfield won't exist in 2018! From the opening post Only one city can have more than one stadium. Obviously that will be London.
  13. Nothing to do with the FL or PL. Also if Saints didn't apply it is hardly the FA's fault.
  14. You could have two seperate "home ends" in the stadium (one with red seats one with blue) and one away end
  15. 1) The Dell was sold out pretty much every game 2) The "Save our Saints Game" didn't sell because many are undr the impression that a buyer will soon be in place and so no need for the game. Any that want to donate will do anyway. Just because two people come up with an event to help something you support doesn't mean you have to attend it. 3) I wouldn't swap with you right now. We are at the bottom of a downward spiral and will be working our way up from next season onwards. Pompey are on their way down and yet to reach the bottom. Your debts will cripple you!
  16. I didn't say bog standard. I said "bog standard for a new ground". Plenty of teams now have similar quality and aren't in the Premiership, Derby, Coventry, MK Dons, Leicester etc. My original point a few posts back is that it was wrong to call St. Mary's "state of the art". This term is often wrongly used and in St. Mary's case a 30 million pound stadium is clearly not state of the art compared to many other clubs around the world spending over 100m on stadiums. I'm not saying St Mary's isn't a good stadium. It clearly is. But lets not over do it Oh, and yes I have been there many many times
  17. Yes it is. However it is nothing special.
  18. St. Marys is far from "state of the art". Wembley or Emirates are state of the art and groundbreaking stadiums. St. Mary's is a bog standard 30k new ground like many others around the country.
  19. That isn't irony
  20. Buy Saints today for 9m. Spend 20m and get to the Premiership. Sell for close to 100m. Make 71m profit (potentially )
  21. Nick do you know anything about any possible appeal for the -10 points and the impact of that on this bid?
