  1. With a newly promoted team, on a smaller wage and transfer budget.
  2. Hughes is a football dinosaur... Dyche isn't currently one. But may end up one in about 5- 10 years.
  3. Could be worth a try. Saints can offer bigger personnel wages, a bigger wage budget for players and hopefully a bigger transfer budget than he has at Brentford. Plus there is the Rasmus Ankersen connection....
  4. 1) We really don't know the financial position of the club given the new ownership 2) The only reason for what?
  5. Like a lemming?
  6. Ralph went straight down the tunnel at full time
  7. I can't think of any...
  8. Earlier I think he said Saints don't have a left footed left back. Even though Perraud is just that!
  9. I'm now struggling to think of any positives for him to stay for next season

    Russia

Yes there is. Caving into an aggressor and handing over territory makes them think they can get away with an illegal act of an aggressive war and may do so again in the future. The Russians can't be trusted to make any peace deal, this can only really end when Putin or Putin followers are out of power.
  11. Did you mean muppets?
  12. Sell on clauses are pretty standard in transfers, so it won't make a difference. Especially if the article is true about the min fee release clause and Saints meet it.
  13. Liverpool having a sell on clause doesn't really matter. Why care what happens to the money Saints spend in terms of the clubs the selling club passes it onto?
  14. I agree. Although hopefully Armstrong makes an impact at some point.
  15. Yes, Norwich are too good for the Championship. But saying a club or player is too good for the Championship does not mean you are also saying they are good enough for the PL. Hence the yo-yoing. They are floating at a level of quality between the two.
  16. Not 'pony'. Scoring 28 goals in 40 league games for a mid table team shows he has been there, done it and got the t-shirt at that level. Little else for him to prove at that level. He is struggling to make an impression in the PL, but that doesn't mean he isn't too good for the Championship. At the moment he looks like one of those players whose quality is between the quality level of the two leagues.
  17. Scoring 28 goals for a mid table team. At the moment he is too good for the Championship, but not good enough for the Premier League.
  18. To what profile of club? More time in the Championship won't get him ready for the Premier League as he is already too good for that level. Plus if he did leave on loan, he'd need replacing in our 1st team squad next season as we'd be down a striker and we'd then have two strikers for one role in the summer of 2023 when he returns.
  19. It is not something I've ever done or would ever do, but it is not unusual for people to place 'insurance bets' on their own team to fail. If their team wins or stays up great, if they lose or go down then you gain financially which at least is a positive in a bad situation.
  20. If Brentford had won or drawn at Old Trafford would you have said...? ''Perfect timing for Brentford to maintain their good form." It can be spun any way you want!
  21. The burden of proof is on the person making a claim. You made the claim, not me.
  22. He is leaving PSV because he is joining Benfica...
  23. What is the evidence for that claim?
