Salisu is effectively the Vestergaard left sided centre back replacement. So Saints did upgrade, but an upgrade on Bednarek would also have been nice.

Not really, their final game is away at Arsenal. Even if we lose to Leicester, Arsenal will still be favourites to beat Everton. If we draw with Leicester, Everton would have to win to overtake us.
