A big problem has been in recent games we've lacked an attacking right back. Without Walker-Peters the high press falls apart. A key cog in the system missing and the system suffers. The full backs also provide the width, with the two strikers and two number 10s being narrow. With a non attacking right back instead of Walker-Peters the system falls down.

He is cup tied.

Watkins was sold for £33m by Brentford. They'd probably want similar for Toney.
-
Ollie Watkins cost £33m from Brentford. Hard to seeing them not wanting similar for Toney, so it is not remotely feasible.
-
How have you worked that out? We just played it throughout 2020 and were very successful getting points using it.
-
It is not meaningless. We played that way throughout all the good times in 2020. It is done for a good reason, explained in this video...

Two footed from behind and Hendrick only got a yellow card. They could have been down to 10 men much earlier in the game than they were (the 11th minute before their first goal).

Drago is the drug cheat baddy. Does that make me Rocky the hero protagonist?

@TurkishWhat actually happens when we clash on the forum... We are both losers! 😉👼
-
Ok I admit it, you won that thread in the same way Trump 'won' the 2020 election. First Spacey, then Trump... you sure know how to pick-em! Savile or Glitter next?

We have a lot more than two sellable assets. Of course those two are our best players, but others still have a good amount of worth.
-
Not based on your performance in a certain lounge thread you don't. 😛
-
@Turkish Are you comparing yourself to Kevin Spacey? That is a slippery slope!
-
That isn't a good enough reason not to want to win a cup.
-
@TurkishYou are mine, and I feed your arguments to the pigs! 😘
-
Yes we were based on results and why would you not base it on results?
-
You really don't. You either turn out the same flawed counters time after time or resort to petty personal insults. 😁
-
I expect nothing less from either of you when faced with a view you struggle to form a rebuttal against. 🙄
-
The Shrewsbury and Arsenal FA Cup wins seemingly didn't help league form much. 🤔 😉
-
Petty insults 🙄 Try forming a coherent response if you disagree.

That is a strange way to look at it. I'd say it is far better to have a manager that is ultimately too good for us and eventually leaves. At least you benefit from him in the short term. Of course the issue then becomes how well you replace him.

They tried by putting on a big centre forward, playing Redmond as a right back and putting Vestergaard up front. There is only so much you can do in such conditions. It is hard to pass on the floor as ball holds up in standing water, going longer is the alternative but has its own issues.

Today was pretty inept, on the bright side, Kyle Walker-Peters returning will make a big difference. Not having an attacking right-back alters the style of play and build-up. It is limiting Saints as an attacking force and hindering the high press down the right side.

That was clearly the Man Utd game. Sure not beating 10 then 9 men today is disappointing but that occasionally happens and you can't break a team down. Losing 9-0 should be an extremely rare event for any professional team.
