It is both. We do not have enough PL level players. Martin playing out from the back with players not able to do it added extra pressure and now we have Juric playing players out of position when he has natural position players available for those roles.

Faith is the excuse people give when they don't have evidence. If you had evidence you would not need faith. I've said numerous times on here they fucked up recruitment. You've taken my post out of context of what it was replying to. I was replying to a claim they can't run a football club. Rheyve messed up so far at Saints. But the fact that Göztepe are doing well disproves that claim regardless of you or any other Saonts fans not caring about them.

Yep, most are shit in the Premier League. But in the Championship the vast majority are top level. We are now a club with a squad full of players too good for the Championship, but not good enough for the Premier League. Just look at the strikers we have on our books, all would be prolific in the Championship. I know their futures are up in the air, but would all be stand out strikers at that level.

Sure, we are an absolute mess in the PL. But it is still an attractive job. Someone who wants a big wage for themselves, a squad full of players who are good at the level we are going to be playing next season, plus a very big wage and transfer budget compared to most of the other clubs in the Championship and a good chance to be a manager in the world's highest profile and richest league for 2026/27.

Recruitment of players and football staff is the issue. The people who were in charge of the recruitment of this squad are clueless, but they aren't in charge any more... we now have a new person in charge of recruitment and zero evidence to use to say he is clueless for us as he has not had a transfer window yet!

You'd need to be young for that to be true on both counts! The 2008/09 team was worse, significantly worse. Our ownership also led us to administration and on the brink in 2008/09.
