Don't make a claim and fail to back it up. 1) At no point did I say people solely pray for themselves 2) At no point did I say they subscribe to religion (by this I guess you mean organised religion) 3) If they aren't praying for god to change his mind... what are they praying for? Well you've assumed I said they only pray for themselves... when I did not say that.
-
Also... what assumptions are you claiming I've made?
-
You didn't answer my question... Are they praying for god to change his mind? Under an all knowing god by definition we don't have free will and god already knows what will happen, so prayer is flawed and pointless even if god did exist.

Mosques are closed Turkish... we are in a lockdown!

Classic Turkish, ignoring the post and going back to an old post. At no point did I say Passover was solely a celebration of Egyptian babies dying. But the name Passover is due to the baby killing god passing over the Jewish houses and is celebrating their babies not being killed by the baby killing god. Saying that the Jews worship a baby killing god is not anti-Semitic. Do you deny the Torah says god killed babies?

I have a right to challenge it because we live in a free country. Are they praying for god to change his mind? Under an all knowing god by definition we don't have free will and god already knows what will happen, so prayer is flawed and pointless even if god did exist.

No, it is you that don't appear to know it is another Christian copy of festivals that existed before Christianity! Easter is a mixture of things Christians have stolen from older traditions. Other cultures that pre-date Christainity have resurection stories... Christianity absorbed that into its myths. Are you not aware of Mirthras... who was born on 25th December and whose followers celebrated the Spring equinox (Easter)! Exchanges of eggs are an ancient custom that pre-date Christianity.

I want to beleive as many true things and as few false things as possible. If someone thinks something I believe is false and has a good reason to think that then it benefits me from hearing a challenge to my belief. To want to go unchallenege is doing a version of this... If a belief someone holds can't hold up-to scrutiny then it is pretty flimsy belief. Religions brainwash people into not accepting criticism in order to protect themselves. Which is why the Bible has passages to protect itself from criticism.

He really doesn't Annihilation requires evidence and answering questions... neither of which Turkish manages

He refuses to answer that

Pointing the horrific nature of the baby killing god story does not make me anti-semitic. Do you deny the story says god killed babies?
-
Yet again... you ignore the questions I ask!
-
No where in that post does it say it is a celebration of killing babies as you claimed. Thing thing is... it kind of is a celebration of that... as the English name 'passover' is celebrating god passed over the Jewish houses and killed the Egyptian babies. Pointing the horrific nature of the baby killing god story does not make me anti-semitic. Do you deny the story says god killed babies?
-
When did I say it was that? Do you deny the story says the god of the Bible killed Egyptian babies? It is bizarre you think me saying what the book says is anti-semitic! The god of the Jews is a baby killer... the book says he is!

Lots of Christians believe God and Jesus are one and the same. Even if you don't, the point still stands that God thought the best way to remove the problem of orinignal sin was for Jesus to be sacrifired... because god loves a blood sacrifice and he couldn't just forgive mankind for breaking rules he knew they would break. Yet again... you fail to explain how what I said about god killing first born Egyptian babies is anti-semitic... it is what the Bible says! [quote=Turkish;2813784 What did you buy your family and friends for Easter? Nothing

Which of my questions today was inane?
-
Many Christians believe God and Jesus are one and the same. Him dying on the cross is supposed to be a loophole to his rules over original sin. As I said earlier regarding the original sin Jesus is meant to be the answer for... if god is all knowing then he knew that Adam and Eve would fail his test. So if you set a test that you know they will 100% fail, it is not a fair test. How? Does the story not say god killed innocent Egyptian first born babies? I think you will find it does! It is a horrific story or an evil baby killing god!
-
Explain why my description of it is wrong. The same with passover.
-
Going back to original sin that Jesus is meant to be the answer for... if god is all knowing then he knew that Adam and Eve would fail his test. So if you set a test that you know they will 100% fail, it is not a fair test.

Happy Holidays! Passover... the time god killed innocent first born Egyptian babies Easter... the time god sacrificed himself, to himself to act as a loophole to rules he created and knew would be broken

Clubs aren't going to accept a rule being creating and then being applied to events before its creation. That wouldn't hold up in court.
-
There is a lot that is different. But it will always be a football management game, so isn't going to appear radically different each year. What would it need to include for it not to be 'the same as the last version'?

Which rule did they break?
