  1. Hughes is clearly going to be the manager, included in the discussions he has been having for the past week will be budgets, players, plans etc etc. We aren't going to suffer from appointing Hughes today/tomorrow vs last week.
  2. Yes, they would be given two years. But another hole in the law is Brentford have been excused putting seats in the two year timeframe as they are moving to a new stadium. It is a very inconsistent law.
  3. To think Alderweireld is a realistic target is not being ambitious... it is being as mad as a box of frogs! If he leaves Spurs it will be for another Champions League club and bigger wages than he is currently on.
  4. Can you explain exactly how him being appointed last week vs tonight/tomorrow impacts each of the following you mentioned... 1) Season ticket sales 2) Players futures 3) Potential transfers ................ 1) If anyone was making season ticket choices mbased on the manager, then all they'd do is buy one this week when he is appointed... so how has the club lost out? 2) Player futures would all have been discussed with Hughes during the negotiations... so how has the club lost out? 2) Potential transfers would all have been discussed with Hughes during the negotiations... so how has the club lost out?
  5. Can you outline why it is a "pig's ear" of an appointment? Why does it matter if Hughes was appointed last week, tonight or tomorrow. It makes no difference.
  6. He has asked to talk to Stoke... https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2018/05/club-statement-gary-rowett https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44203326
  7. What makes the current law really daft is it only applies to clubs in the top two leagues. Exeter City for example are allowed to legally have this...
  8. It is a multi million pound contract. These aren't things to be rushed, lawyers take time. I guess it'll be announced either tonight or tomorrow. Whether it was last week, tonight or tomorrow, makes no difference to next season. Patience is a virtue Batman.
  9. Premier League strikers with 20 or more goals... 2017/18 season... 4 = Salah, Kane, Aguero, Vardy 2016/17 season... 5 = Kane, Lukaku, Costa, Sanchez, Aguero 2015/16 season... 3 = Kane, Aguero, Vardy
  10. Don't give him ideas! I'm intrigued what he'll come up with.
  11. Settle this once and for all then... write "Matthew Le God is a pedantic bellend" on a piece of paper and take a photo of it somewhere that is clearly Kenyan. Then post it on here.
  12. What are you talking about? You've been registered on here from March 2018, I haven't had anything in my profile about any video games for a long time.
  13. No they don't, they play at the Kenyatta Stadium!
  14. Far more sensible to judge a player on his own merits, not rule him in or out purely due to which club he has come from!
  15. A mere 13 minutes after the thread was started with this post... The Telegraph published this article... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/05/18/mark-hughes-expected-announced-permanent-southampton-manager/amp/?__twitter_impression=true That is why it is hard to believe the opening post.
  16. It appears Cedric is still first choice for Portugal, not Perreira.
  17. Glasgow to Nairobi communication...
  18. What if you then aren't able to sell the players for whatever reason and you are lumbered with an inflated squad? Also cash flow problems can arise from doing it that way round.
  19. Perhaps because it is the role of the club's media department to get as much positive coverage of the club to the largest audience as possible. They don't want to announce things at 4am, they want things when most people are listening to news/on the internet.
  20. No as Clasie has not left the club.
  21. I don't get many games, but this is definitely on the list for October 2018. The first RDR (not including Red Dead Revolver) in 2010 is one of the best games of all time. Red Dead Redemption Online should also be a lot of fun taking all the best bits from GTA online and setting them in the Wild West.
  22. There would be a problem with wages unless Saints subsidise for a year or Davis agrees to a massive paycut. Rangers couldn't get remotely close to our pay structure.
