  1. The MK Dons game in the League Cup would be a good opportunity for him.
  2. If van Dijk proves himself in the Premier League he'll be getting a boost for the winter update, but until now he hasn't been tested at a high level in domestic football.
  3. He did play as the left sided centre back for Celtic and he is right footed.
  4. If thats true Spurs are a shambles and don't know Premier League rules. You are only allowed 2 domestic loans and Saints have Caulker and Stekelenburg.
  5. Bloody hell! Not enough McInnes' in the world for that, so four will have to do... :mcinnes::mcinnes: I wasn't saying that should be the line-up in every game; I was giving a brief overview of options we now have. In any case Koeman uses the formation I used in the OP, has used all of those players in those positions and has used 4 attacking players in the front four roles before. So what did I do that was clueless...?
  6. I agree in the short term due to recent events, but I was just offering one potential XI if everyone (bar Forster) was fully fit.
  7. Are we? Rodriguez, Mane, Juanmi, Clasie, Ward-Prowse, Tadic, S.Davis and your favourite Ramirez can all play in variations of that role. Thats 8 players.
  8. Depends who we are playing.
  9. I mentioned it, because as most of the replies to this thread show... people will want to make changes to the one I suggested.
  10. The three behind Pelle all rotate during games and its only one option of many now available to Koeman.
  11. Why?
  12. We aren't going to play the same XI every week, its just one option of a line-up. Some good depth and options for Koeman.
  13. van Dijk signing, Wanyama staying, Bertrand/Clasie back from injury & Koeman's options are looking good. We aren't going to play the same XI every week, but one option would be... Plus... Keepers - Forster, Davis, Gazzaniga Defenders - Targett, Martina, Caulker, Yoshida, Gardos Midfielders - Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Davis, Reed Attacking players - Juanmi, Long, Ramirez
  14. Sega are paying them money to advertise their game.
  15. When Virgil van Dijk signs, Southampton since promotion in 2012 have spent over £174m on new player transfer/loan costs (not including agent fees, signing on fees or wages) plus £40m on improving the training ground. But the press think Liebherr is asset stripping, firesale etc. Yes, we've recouped a lot but the money is clearly being reinvested.
  16. For the first time today my stats used on SSN...
  17. So are the vast majority of your 26,731 posts of negative, jumping to conclusions rants.
  18. No he couldn't. Plus its a position where we have enough numbers with Wanyama, Clasie, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Davis and Reed as central midfielders.
  19. Yep, to not concede goals. In 2014/15 Saints conceded the fewest goals from corners of any Premier League team... so it clearly works.
  20. My point was I don't think that the signing of a 17 year old would have a big influence on what happens with Gazzaniga this season.
  21. None, he is only 17 years old and can still play for Saints under 18s this season.
  22. Harry Lewis is 17 years old and Gazzaniga is 23, Lewis isn't going to be close to the first team at the moment.
  23. What point are you trying to make? Would you rather Saints didn't sign promising young players for the academy?
