  1. I think it is extremely unlikely Saints would give Tadic a new 4 year contract with a release clause very similar to the price we paid for him. Making the clause £13m for a player that cost £11m is daft and significantly undervalues him. £13m is the cost of an attacking player who has a decent season in the Premier League, not the Premier League's 4th highest assist maker since 2014 when he arrived!
  2. Publications like The Independent and The Telegraph running with the interest in him is more telling than the red tops doing so... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/southampton-new-manager-thomas-tuchel-claude-puel-pelligrino-a7779836.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/07/claude-puel-faces-sack-southampton-have-found-replacement/ The Telegraph story is from one of the main journalist Saints give details to. I would imagine Tuchel has already been approached to gage possible interest before the club told Jeremy Wilson anything.
  3. Looks like Eusebio Di Francesco is going to Roma. http://www.football-italia.net/103858/di-francesco-roma-imminent
  4. I'm not saying he would be a bad choice, but I can't see how Pellegrino matches the description of an "exciting name". Tuchel is a name that would make news around Europe, Schmidt to a lesser extent. But Pellegrino isn't particularly high profile.
  5. Schmidt & Tuchel on Saints shortlist says the journalist the club leak thing to, Jeremy Wilson of the Telegraph... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/07/claude-puel-faces-sack-southampton-have-found-replacement/
  6. Is English comprehension not your thing Turkish? Which part of the definition of seemingly do you not understand? I then link to a newspaper article and at now point said it would defiantly happen. So yet again it is you that is Mr Wrong as your understanding of the English language let's you down time after time. For some bizarre reason you keep linking back to the stadium thread and I've pointed out to you each time you do how as the situation changed in the management this obviously had an impact on any ambition of stadium development. But... even if I do post something wrong... so ****ing what? Why do you think I should be infallible? Yes I said things that are wrong on this forum, who ****ing cares...?!!!
  7. He was to all intents and purposes sacked by Dortmund. It wasn't his decision. All big ifs of course, but... He has already ruled out Leverkusen, so looks unlikely to stay in Germany if dismissing one of the better jobs there. The top jobs in the Premier League don't look like being available this summer. If he has ambitions of managing Arsenal in 2019, managing Saints for 2 years is a good introduction into English football for him. Of course some Saints fans will moan about being a stepping stone... but so what? He'd only leave for a bigger club if he's done well so Saints benefit in those two seasons.
  8. Stoke complained about Liverpool and two months ago of tapping up an academy player, Liverpool admitted it and were found guilty... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39508491 Will the governing bodies look kindly on another offence so soon after the last...?
  9. Have you considered situations can change between one day and the next?
  10. Cheer up! ffs A replacement with very similar attributes to van Dijk is seemingly on his way... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zumjARF9IDk Today's Portuguese press... https://www.abola.pt/clubes/ver.aspx?t=4&id=675927 ......... Liverpool have an annual income 3x that of Southampton, are able to offer £200k p/w wages and Champions League football. Delusional to think a players head wouldn't be turned. It is better for Saints to have players like van Dijk or Mane for two years than not at all. Only a handful of clubs in world football aren't "selling clubs", it is delusional to think Saints will ever be in that elite. Nothing wrong with our position as one of the best clubs for 20 - 25 years olds to join before moving on to some of the richest clubs in the world.

  13. What evidence to you have to support such a claim?
  14. Not really, academy teams don't swaps after league games.
  15. It is frustrating 9-3 wants constant updates about something the fans don't need a minute by minute account of. We'll find out in due course, us knowing or not isn't going to make a difference.
  16. The same person 20 minutes later said that was fake.
  17. Why is that a problem? The alternative is to not have them on long contracts and be left in a difficult position when they have a year left and don't want to sign a contract. How many more time Mr Troll do we need to go through this one. The number of clubs that aren't "selling clubs" in World football can be counted on one hand! You like talking about Everton & Spurs, but Everton sold Stones and will probably sell Lukaku and contract refusing Barkley. Spurs will probably sell Walker, perhaps Rose and I don't see them keeping Kane and Alli forever. It really is painful having to read your nonsense day after day on this forum. You add nothing constructive to it. Plus when you are shown to be talking nonsense you conveniently ignore the counters to your nonsense and repeat the same nonsense again in the future as if you hadn't read or understood why it was nonsense.
  18. It is puzzling how you conveniently ignore the large number of long contracts Saints have given to their players recently. Oh yeah, you are a massive troll.
  19. Paddy Power appear to be the only bookmaker I can find with this market. They started Tuchel odds at 7/1 when someone asked them to do it on Twitter (now at 5/1), so where did you get 50/1? https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager
  20. Jan Hagen‏ @PortuBall 5m5 minutes agoMore O Jogo report this evening that Sporting have accepted a €14m offer(for 80% of the economic rights) from Newcastle on defender Rúben Semedo.
  21. Tuchel was effectively sacked, he didn't have a lot of choice over leaving Dortmund.
  22. I asked a series of questions, you failed to answer them fully with justifications, particularly the key one... Talk through how exactly... naming them would potentially cause any possible deal to break down or another club to beat us to them? I'm sure their agents would be putting their name around to other clubs regardless, so naming them wouldn't make a difference. If one of the names is Tuchel, what is the point withholding that? The likes of Crystal Palace for example who are also looking for a new manager would be fully aware Tuchel is available. Nothing you have said has really added to the thread, it is far to vague and wishy washy until you start naming names.
  23. He was the manager for one of the biggest clubs in world football, he isn't particularly obscure.
  24. If you are telling the truth, I'm struggling to think how you have a good reason not to name them. 1) What harm would naming them on a fans forum do? 2) How would naming potentially cause any possible deal to break down or another club to beat us to them? I'm sure their agents would be putting their name around regardless so naming them wouldn't make a difference? 3) If you did name them, would it really be traced back to you personally and would the repercussions really matter in any meaningful way? Saying " I know the two names, you don't" isn't really adding anything meaningful to the debate. Plus makes it sound like you probably don't know them as there is little reason not to tell us.
