  1. He appears on the verge of (yet another) mental break down...
  2. Didn't get high enough in his year at the club for Claude's name to get the "e" in it before he was sacked.
  3. I think we've moved beyond a point where we loan youngsters from top clubs. Saints look to develop their own young players for the 1st team, not improve ones they don't own. Loaning players just blocks pathways for existing young players and has little long term benefit for the club.
  4. Pochettino and Koeman were unemployed and were superb... were they not? Puel, wasn't great but wasn't a disaster either. I'm lost as to your point? Are you trying to suggest they are being cheap? Saints are among the biggest wage bills in world football and Pellegrino will be among the highest earning managers in world football, it isn't being cheap. Going for a manager in a job is more complicated and in any case there are lots of good managers out of work. Not sure why I'm bothering responding to you as you will likely as normal pick and choose which bits of my post you want to talk about and ignore the rest and likely find an opportunity to post your favourite children's character.
  5. He's magic, you know. Mauricio Poche... Pellegrino!
  6. The Sun Football ⚽‏Verified account @TheSunFootball 16m16 minutes agoMore Frank de Boer offered the Crystal Palace job
  7. I could go on Wikipedia and edit the Southampton FC page to say Maggie May is the manager. Anyone in the world can edit any page they want on Wikipedia.
  8. I think that may be the first time Markus Weinzierl has been mentioned with the job in the press.
  9. I'm guessing you looked up New York Red Bulls fixtures (they played on Sunday), not New York City.
  10. New York City last played a game on Saturday 17th June, 1pm ET. https://www.nycfc.com/schedule
  11. :mcinnes: Many bookmakers run a request a bet thing on twitter. Yesterday a random Saints fan asked them for odds and they gave them to him. It means nothing. 12. I'd disappointed if whoever the new manager is, fails to get more than 46 points and 17 home league goals with this squad.
  13. Those two statements contradict each other.
  14. Video of him here... https://www.thesun.co.uk/video/football/rafa-bentiezs-former-assistant-boss-mauricio-pellegrino-reckons-the-spaniard-can-win-trophies-at-newcastle/
  15. After 11+ years of this nonsense, have you not reached a point where you bore yourself yet?
  16. Inspired by this 1990s kids show...?
  17. Double negative photo and this happens...
  18. He signed a new contract 10 days ago.
  19. Subtle hint to the Keegan era kit in the video... (not that it is a surprise anymore, as we've all seen the design now)
  20. I've just finished a Howards' Way boxset marathon!
  21. Jeremy Wilson‏Verified account @JWTelegraphFollowing More Claude Puel sacked after it was concluded #saintsfc players/fans not sufficiently with him. Thomas Tuchel on shortlist but there are others
  22. The Glazer's purchased Man Utd using loans.
  23. He wasn't a victim of the rotation... he benefitted from it! Rodriguez was 4th choice striker up against Austin, Gabbiadni & Long for 1 role in the team. If there hadn't been rotation, as 4th choice he'd hardly have played so he can't complain about the rotation.
  24. Southampton have 4 representatives at the U21 European Championships... - Ross Wilson (director of scouting) - Bill Green (head scout) - Regional scouts for Germany & Poland, Andreas Fehse & Piotr Kasprzak
  25. Nor do I. Why would Saints offer a player a new 4 year contract last summer with a release clause similar to the price we got him for? I doubt Saints have set fee release clauses in any of their contracts and defineltely not as tiny as £13m for an established Premier League player. Removes any transfer negotiating possibility. In 2017 £13m is the cost of an attacking player who has a decent season in the Championship.... not the cost of a player who since arriving in England in 2014 is the 4th highest assist maker in the Premier League.
