  1. His cause was extremely good, but the media have completely glossed over his dark side. Mandela co-founded a terrorist group that bombed, land-mined, tortured and murdered a lot of people.
  2. He has been playing right back for Saints youth teams since January, they converted him to a new position. He also captains England under 19's whilst playing right back. That is now his position and has been for the last year.
  3. McInnes said there are managers at other clubs that have clauses in contracts where they can leave for no compensation. The Football League won't allow them to pay any transfer fee for players, or compensation for managers until previous football debts have been paid. Evidence of not being allowed by the Football League to spend money on transfers... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/catlin-forget-pompey-paying-out-transfer-fees-1-5072403 Evidence of not being allowed by the Football League to spend money on compensation for employed managers at other clubs is towards the end of this interview... http://www.expressfm.com/local/podcasts/the-football-hour-933450/
  4. All the candidates they interviewed had no compensation involved, the Football League won't let them pay compensation for a manager. Iain McInnes admitted as much in a recent radio interview.
  5. I'd imagine it would scare the **** out of most kids. Imagine how the opposing teams keeper felt playing infront of that!
  6. Billy Sharp has never scored in a top flight match. So what "scoring record" are you using to compare him with Oswaldo (a current Italian international and 3rd top scorer in Serie A last season)?
  7. It is someone getting their kicks and giggles pretending to be me. Simple things, please simple minds. Grow up.
  8. How do Tottenham benefit from losing their 2nd choice keeper? They'd then weaken their own match day squad and help a rival team.
  9. Yep, its at the Premier League board's discretion if they let us bring in another keeper or not.
  10. Why would Spurs loan out their second choice keeper? They need a sub keeper themselves.
  11. He joined Middlesbrough 3 days ago... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25143739
  12. Chelsea FC ‏@chelseafc 1m Team v Southampton: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry ©, Azpilicueta; Essien, Ramires; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Torres. #CFC Chelsea FC ‏@chelseafc 34s View translation Subs v Southampton: Schwarzer, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Schurrle, Willian, Ba. #CFC
  13. No it doesn't. Potts, Carson and Marquis have "transfer dates" next to them but all three were loans. Their chief executive has confirmed they can't spend money on transfers... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/catlin-forget-pompey-paying-out-transfer-fees-1-5072403 Plus their chairman confirms they can't pay compensation for a manager in this interview... http://www.expressfm.com/local/podcasts/the-football-hour-933450/
  14. Came through our youth system and was released without playing a 1st team game.
  15. Portsmouth aren't allowed to pay any transfer fee for players or compensation for managers until their football debt has been paid off, which won't be for a long time. It is possible that Wilder may have a clause in his contract that allows him to leave without any compensation needing to be paid. How Pompey found out about such a clause is another question...
  16. Approach made for the manager of the team at the top of their league... BBC Oxford Sport ‏@bbcoxfordsport 12m We understand Portsmouth FC have made official approach for Oxford United manager Chris Wilder. #oufc
  17. Have you actually looked to see if that link supports your point? That link shows in each the last 5 seasons Everton have received more from outgoing transfers than they spent! Saints however since returning to the Premier League have a net spend which is 3rd behind Chelsea and Man City (and we don't have the sponsorship deals or Champions League money like they do).
  18. Why are you talking about it in terms of "good business"? Saints have shown the are able to spend big money on players regardless of player sales. Why not keep bringing players in and keep existing high quality players?
  19. The ever reliable Sports Direct News... http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/football-transfer-window/36623-man-utd-moyes-keeping-tabs-on-saints-winger.php#.Upns0Cir-mQ They think he is a winger ffs!
  20. Why? Saints are spending big money regardless of player sales so its better to keep the squad together if you can. If Cortese really does intend to have us compete for the title in the future as today's article suggests we need to be keeping Shaw.
  21. An under 12's game in Poland... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuwVi8dSQWk Perhaps a little excessive!
  22. It is Ramirez that is getting on people's backs today...
  23. As a number of people here predicted, they are a shambles at board level with Chairman Ian McInnes admitting to boardroom infighting... http://www.expressfm.com/local/podcasts/the-football-hour-933450/ The explanation of why Whittingham did the pre-match press conference for the Southend game on the day he was sacked is laughably tinpot. The inmates are running the asylum...
