Do you think he'll leave in the summer? How much do you think he is worth?
-
Him not being the manager at the time. Source... the club website.

We have an exceptionally bad season and people lurch to extremes. Sure, we've been absolutely terrible this season and completely put of our depth in the Premier League, but that doesn't mean our players are League 1, League 2, non league or should never be footballers. We have a Championship level squad with a handful of PL quality players. That is why we have 11 points after 35 games, along with some dreadful managerial decisions.
-
None of that is in any way relevant to the post you replied "fuck me" to. The post you replied "fuck me" to asked the question... "What do we really know about his ability to coach rather than manage?" That is a question about Rusk's time as a coach under Martin and Juric.
-
What? Before we go down another rabbit hole... by recruitment I mean of players and also hiring/firing managers and their styles of play.

And that makes him "not a footballer"?
-
Hyperbole. Sure he isn't Premier League level. But he is fine in the Championship.
-
Why are you asking that, when the post you just quoted literally says... "Leicester are better than us". "other Championship clubs (bar Ipswich)"... means other i.e. other than Leicester that I already mentioned who were better!
-
It is the actions of people who are no longer making those decisions. No one is responsible for the actions of those that came before them in any field of work.
-
Do you know what his exact tasks were under Martin and Juric? Plus he wasn't making final decisions at that time.
-
Yep, based on what? Out of your depth in the PL does not mean the players aren't good enough for a promotion challenge in the Championship.
-
Even if they were still in the Championship they could not get remotely close to his wages, let alone in League 1. Stephens is currently on PL level wages probably north of £60k per week. Even with a 40% relegation paycut, non parachute payments Championship teams could not afford him, let alone Plymouth in League 1. He'd really need to want the move for it to happen, as it'll be a monumental wage cut!
-
Based on what? The issue is recruitment. We have a new recruitment team that have not had a transfer window yet to judge them on.
-
The younger players haven't really been been the main issue. It is the older ones we've signed that are not good enough!
-
They have made steps to do that. But we can't see any possible rewards of that until the transfer window opens.

Strawman fallacy! That was him as a manager. We were discussing his impact as a coach under Martin and then Juric.
-
Very hard to judge a coaches impact when you don't know what coaching tasks he was assigned. Plus he wasn't ultimately responsible making tactical decisions, when he was just coaching that was on Martin and Juric.
-
Very harsh to judge the new recruitment team on the mistakes of the old recruitment team.
-
Pre his caretaker/interim manager roles how do you know what his coaching did didn't do?
