  1. Worse than that, it would be admin #4 - 1998, 2010, 2012 plus your new one.
  2. Wasn't talking to you.
  3. Just take a look at FM for how I rate Davis in comparison to Green.
  4. I would go for Green, as would Nigel Adkins (and so would a number of current/former England managers) if this rumour of Saints interest is correct. If it is true, Green would be joining on a large wage and would be the number 1, pointless him leaving West Ham otherwise.
  5. You are taking my comments out of context. Show me where I said that such polls should be used as the only source to determine which is the better player? I was commenting that if you determine such polls to be a credible factor then the most recent one has a larger weighting than an older one. I did not say I gave such polls a huge degree of credit in determining which is the best player. I think they give an insight, but shouldn't be used in isolation.
  6. You have overlooked the question in my last post. "Surely last season is the most relevant as to their current ability?" Does Green's current ability offer being voted the PFA Premier League keeper of 2011/12? No. He was in the Championship along with Davis in 2011/12 and Davis beat him to an award both could have won. I'm not saying such an award is the be all and end all of deciding which is better, far from it. But as I also said... "If you follow through your own logic of deeming PFA polls to be credible factors, Davis is better than Green" based on the most up to date information in this area. As for your comment of "you never seem to offer an opinion of your own", whose opinion do you think I am expressing? Or even when we have our never ending attendance debates, whose opinion do you think I'm expressing then? I know you don't agree with them, but I can confidently say they are my own.
  7. Not saying I don't agree with you overall, but using the above as a factor doesn't make a lot of sense when if using the most recent PFA poll from last season, Davis had more votes than Green whilst both in the same division. Surely last season is the most relevant as to their current ability? So if you follow through your own logic of deeming PFA polls to be credible factors, Davis is better than Green.
  8. As there are a lot of home friendlies, it would be good if they could bundle the home friendlies together at a discount. A "pre-season season ticket" if you will.
  9. I was talking in general terms about a team selection policy shouldn't be based on sentimentality, which is why I said at the start of my post...
  10. Take out the Davis/Green debate over who is better and I'd prefer Saints to take the route of aiming to put out the best XI they can rather than pursuing team selection based on sentimentality.
  11. Games against... Arsenal - 3rd in England 2011/12 Rangers - 2nd in Scotland 2011/12 (admittedly 2nd in Scotland isn't much of an achievement, but they are still a big club) Udinese - 3rd in Italy 2011/12 Evian - 9th in France in 2011/12 Ajax - 1st in Holland 2011/12 + Wolves and Bristol City ...you describe as "completely underwhelming". What were you expecting/hoping for? In terms of a pre-season I think that is the best we've had in years. Lots of home games against high profile clubs and a training camp/two games in a very attractive, relatively close region of Europe.
  12. Looks like someone has stolen a stripe!
  13. Under which law?
  14. Especially the game against Wolves at home, when sandwiched between more attractive fixtures like Udinese and Ajax.
  15. I'm more worried about my bedtime cookies than three sets of undergarments!
  16. Markus Liebherr not Marcus Liebhurr
  17. Very offensive. Could easily be confused for a right winger.
  18. I didn't say they did, but if you listen to the interview they are trying to agree a fee with clubs to stop it going to a tribunal. Martin joining them on loan may lower the compensation price Palace ask for if Clyne agrees to come to Saints. For all we know Clyne may have already agreed terms to join Saints on 1st July and the Martin deal will then make negotiations about compensation price a little smoother.
  19. A possible 3rd itk moment for me following Jack Stephens and Sam Gallagher signing from Plymouth Argyle. A few things... - A "Palace source" has told me that Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle have enquired about Nathaniel Clyne. - This interview http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18340530 - Aarron Martin going on loan to Palace today - a sweetener for a compensation package?
  20. If Saints were to get Clyne, they'd have to pay compensation to Palace or it would goto a tribunal. So loaning Aaron Martin to Palace could be as Turkish says be a "sweetener".
  21. How did it work out for them? None of them are still at those clubs, nor did they play many games for those clubs.
  22. What "epic fail"? I can see them fine.
  23. Leeds before Don Revie... Liverpool before Bill Shankly... Coventry before Jimmy Hill... etc etc etc
  24. How can he "snub Sunderland and Aston Villa" unless both those clubs have a bid accepted?
  25. The Exeter paper's article was written after they had been relegated but before the end of the season when they still had a chance of finishing top of the four relegated sides. They ended up drawing on the final day and finished 2nd bottom, so if Pompey went under it would be Wycombe that stayed up and not Exeter.
