  1. Saints will have a similar number of home fans (29,000) vs Man Utd tomorrow as Man Utd will fill the away end which Wigan didn't. Do you honestly think the same number of Saints fans are interested in going to the Wigan game as they are for the Man Utd game? The 32,000 capacity is restricting us, the Man Utd game sold out a while ago, more would have gone if they could.
  2. 29,604 during holiday time against the least attractive opponent in the league. If Wigan had actually filled the 3,000 seater away end like the majority of other Premier League sides will this season then the attendance would have been over 31,000. If anything it shows the support is strong, if we can get 29,000 Saints fans for the least attractive game, we should be able to get alot more for the more attractive games.
  3. Cortese has it very much in his plans. He has delivered a lot so far... - Who would have thought we'd go from League One in 2010 to the Premier League in 2012? - Who would have thought we'd spend £30m this summer? - Who would have thought we'd spend £12m on one of the hottest young talents in European football? - Who would have thought we'd spend £15m on a training ground development? So when we see admittedly very early intital plans for something like this it seems foolish to rule it out completely...
  4. As a Premier League team Saints can't loan anyone until January 2013. That was only an option when we were a Football League club.
  5. It is whatever is the lower of a) 10% of capacity or b) 3,000.
  6. Obligatory Youtube "best bits" video, whistle as you watch our new star...
  7. That doesn't take into account you'd have to double Dempsey's wages, agent fees and bonuses. Nor does it take into account Ramirez is 8 years younger than Dempsey and holds more long term value.
  8. Not as a Premier League club we can't, that is only available to Football League clubs.
  9. Southampton spent £29.3m and recouped about £500k in transfer fees. Puts them around 5th in terms of money spent and about 3rd of net spenders in Premier League.
  10. Well that is utter nonsense! Norwich and Swansea didn't spent remotely close to £40m or £50m last summer and they finished 12th and 11th! They spent between £10m and £15m iirc.
  11. With little money coming in from player sales, Saints have of the highest net spends of any English club this summer.
  12. Saints can't loan anyone until January.
  13. Not before January we can't. Loan window is only for Football League teams.
  14. Brighton and Forest want to test drive before purchase.
  15. Utter rubbish from their "pundits".
  16. They won't be paying all of it.
  17. I think Saints are waiting until 7pm to announce the Ramirez deal so JIM SMITH can shout it to the world for maximum exposure.
  18. The Italian 6pm deadline is only for domestic transfers, Saints can sign Ramirez after it closes.
  19. Interview with Adkins is going to be on Saints Player within the next 40 minutes according to the Saints Media department.
  20. This guy for a start is there... https://twitter.com/MarkyBryans
  21. No, but it will be on Saints Player later.
  22. That is just for transfers of Italian based players to Italian clubs. Saints can still sign Italian based players after the domestic Italian window closes.
  23. I posted that days ago. Have you been reading the thread from the start and just got to that point?
  24. Ashley Young out of the game on Sunday... http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2012/Aug/sir-alex-ferguson-friday-pre-southampton-press-conference.aspx
