It makes perfect sense in the context of the post it was responding to. Closer to 27k actually, whilst in the Championship. Compared to Villa's 33k in the world's most high profile league with larger number's of away fans boosted the average. It may well be boring. But then so is taking a counter to my points and then refusing to justify them and resort to personal insults like CB Fry continues to do. It isn't contradictory or irrelevant though. What examples can you give of me doing either of those things?

Is it August yet?

Yes, but there is only so much he could have done. Plus, we haven't seen what he can do with Saints in the Premier League yet. Unlike at Villa he won't be held back by over £100 million worth of debt.
-
I think you have overestimated them (living off their past reputations) and are underestimating Saints. The Villa squad is poor, as the Premier League table this season demonstrates.
-
- Saints averaged, 30,610 in a 32,689 capacity stadium in the season they came 20th and were relegated. - Aston Villa averaged 33k in a 42k stadium in a season they came 16th and stayed up. Had Saints had a 42k stadium in the relegation season, it is likely they would have averaged over or at least very close to the 33k Villa had this year as many games sold out in 2004/05 and the extra numbers would have fitted into a 42k stadium and boosted the average.
-
Wrong... Pardew left when Saints were 14th and it was after 3 games. Not an entire season.
-
Because I can't see a single factor that makes Lerner seem better. He has led them to huge debts of over £100m, crowds of 33k in a 42k stadium and a relegation fight.
-
2011/12 16th Aston Villa GD -16 PTS 38 They aren't as great as you think.
-
Randy Lerner has led them into this mess, he isn't as great as you think. Why would Adkins see Lerner as better than Cortese/Liebherr's?
-
Which of the points I listed do you dispute? I think they all are pretty watertight. I see you are back to petty personal insults, rather than debating the points I raise in a mature manner.
-
- We were not in a financial mess when Adkins joined. Cortese/Liebherr had been at the club for over a year and the club was in good shape. - We did not have a squad in a mess when Adkins joined, the majority of the League One promotion winning side was already at the club. It would take something huge to put Villa back on level footing with Saints. They have over £100 million worth of debt.
-
I'm interested to see you justify those two. - Villa have a poor squad and huge debts. - Forest are in the Championship, just involved in a relegation battle, ownership issues up in the air, behind Saints in terms of infrastructure a stadium, academy and training ground.
-
I agree with that list bar Aston Villa. They are in a mess, with a poor squad and huge debts. Plus, you say "for starters" who else then?
-
I could name more than 5, but it isn't as long a list as the Kraken seems to think. Man Utd Man City Arsenal Tottenham Chelsea Liverpool Everton Newcastle
-
You are the one that disputed what he said, not me. Justify it, or retract it.
-
Are either of my points incorrect then?
-
Which English clubs do you think he would leave for then? Few can match or better what he has going for him at Saints right now.
-
- In a 42k stadium this season they averaged 33k. - They are over £100m in debt, compared to Saints £0. This sums it up...
-
Why would he want to do that? What can they offer him Saints can't?
-
If the Football League don't give them a huge points penalty for it, then it sets a very dangerous precedent.
-
Everyone here should ask him a question along these lines... Are you aware of the huge points deductions in League One for the failure of 2010 CVA? Diluting it with a 2012 CVA amounts to the same as not agreeing a CVA in 2010 in the first place. He won't answer it when I ask.
